having issues with LL mods through MO2

allo to all, long story short im trying to use the same mods i had when i stopped playing which was when the aniversary edition came out, ive  used the downgrader to put my game version back to 1.5.97 and put the exact same mods that i know worked with that game version through the use of MO2, ive checked all the mods and compatibilities, ive checked the load order with the assisstance from LOOT, ive ensured everything with animations have thier behaviours processed through FNIS for users, now at this point, everything is fine

HOWEVER when i installed the LL mods, ran them through loot and FNIS, and then attempted to play through SKSE and instead of running the game just instantly shuts down, im certain im using the right versions of the mods to run on 1.5.97 however with the LL mods i could be wrong

ill add a list of the mods below

can anybody please help me out here, im stumped

Don't run loot with sexlab mods. Maybe if you just have 1 or 2, but not on a sexlab modlist. At best its gonna do jack shit, at worst it will actually create problems on its own. Go slowly through all required mods and make sure they are all fitting the version of skyrim you are using, start over but test things out every couple mods, don't just dump 160 mods and then test.

Edit:The one kinda useful loot thing is what its telling you on each individual plugin, but even that can screw you over, like loot telling you to clean the records but mod description telling you to leave it as is. But never make it actually change your load order, you need to manage that yourself.

understood, i only used loot as a reassurance that it was done but ill keep that in mind, ty
that might be the cause actually, after doing the slow route for around 12 hours i rushed the SL mods and did them all at once, ill redo them now and keep you posted

ty so much for this

Yeppp no worries its just how overwhelming to you it is right now is not far from what people see when you just dump a list of mods and 'something went wrong' once you find specific mods or group of mods that you have issues with its much much easier to help you, if not me then someone else. I can help you with stuff thats not AE exclusive, but I know from forum experience its sometimes one tiny mod thats not even a SL mod but required by some and it happens to be version not for your skyrim that can screw things over.

master mod?

Most plugins have at least one master plugin reference. If the game crashes before the main menu, it's a missing master plugin. MO2 shows an error for this in the top right corner. Otherwise get a crash log.

Just to be clear, having you been going through the Skyrim SE compatibility for every mod you are using?

If you are downgrading to SE (1.5.97) and just adding mods back, then there are some issues finding the SE version for some mods.  You're may be using some updated AE mods.

If you have been very careful with compatability to ensure you are getting older versions of mods where you need them, that that is a different issue.

If you are starting a new game and starting over with mods then I don't think there is any reason to downgrade.  Pretty much everything that was on SE is on AE now.  Not to mention, at lot of mods are only updating the AE versions and you will miss out for no real reason.  Most of the mods I know of that are incompatible with AE were already having issues with later versions of SE because they weren't being maintained.
