Fallout won't launch on windows 10 (Solved)

Anyone else having problem with Fallout 4 on Windows 10 ? Recentrly i switched from Win 7 to Win 10 and now Fallout crashes as soon as i start it  All drivers are updated, i tried running the game as admin and in compatibility mode, did a file integrity check  but still crashes.

I tought it was an incompatibility with ModOrganizer so i uninstalled the game, deleted all the mods, installed the game again (no mods  this time) and launch it using its default launcher but still crashes as soon as i click Play.

Every other game, both old and new ones works perfectly but not FO4.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes! I had this problem a couple of times! If you are trying to launch it in a high resolution it might not work! and also some security things might need to be adjusted or updated!

Ok as soon as i finish installing it for the 5th time this week, ill try some lower resolution. Thanks!

 

Update: No luck, the problem persist

 

Update 2: i managed to make it work using the windowed/ borderless mode and adjusting the resolution in the options menu  of the defauld launcher; however still crashes using ModOrganizer or F4SE.

 

Update 3: Finally it works even with ModOrganizer and all the mods installed:  from ModOrganizer i've had to open the fallout4prefs.ini file, in the Display section change the value of "bBorderless=0"  and "bFull Screen=1" to "bBorderless=1" and  "bFull Screen=0"

Oh wow that's interesting! I have never had to do that before! I will do this if I need it later!  I'm happy it works finally for you!! A lot of times I launch in a small screen and then make the screen size bigger.

Yeah has been a tough battle but in the end we won! Someone on Discord  also suggested this wiki https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Fallout_4 for various fixes.
