How to get CBBE Bodyslide to work

I had an issue with the CBBE bodyslide not working.

 

So...I re-installed Skyrim and I currently have a vanilla install.  Is there anyone out there would would be willing to instruct me on getting the Bodyslide to work? (what mods to install, in what order, etc.)  I wish to use the CB++ Bodyslide for the extra sliders.

You'll have to be more specific with your problem. Are you having issues installing? Are you having problems using the tool?

are you planning to use bbp/tbbp animations?

 

if so, there are some additional steps to install animations and compatible skeleton such as XPMS.

if not, then you can proceed with the CBBE install.

 

For Bodyslide, it is probably easiest to use Nexus Mod Manager since the install package is structured for it.

You'll want to start with the base CBBE/Bodyslide

After you open the downloaded mod with Nexus Mod Manager using "Add Mod from file", double click mod to start the installation.

select the shape/nude/texture/head options that you prefer in the "Install CBBE" window that pops up.  Make sure in the "Tools Options" that the "Install Bodyslide" is checked.

 

If it installed correctly, you should see the folder

...Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide

 

Then install the CB++ Bodyslide

and you should see

...Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide\Bodyslide++.exe

 

Start up Bodyslide++.exe and customize your body and select "Build" when done.  The body meshes should be placed into correct folders by Bodyslide++.

Thank you pringles.  I will try this in the next day or 2 (backing up my HDD today ).  I am not worrying about the special animations (which I assume are Skyrim's version of BBB), I just want my character to look good while going through the game.

 

Pays: More detail as requested.  I would install everything, then use the Bodyslide tool.  Everything appeared to work, but the body type remained whichever body I installed with CBBE, the body slide changed nothing.

Everything worked just fine.  These were the same steps I took before when it would not work.  I guess something was conflicting with it.
