[XCL] AI Art Replacer

Swaps a small number of game images for AI-enhanced versions.

Important Disclaimer: This only replaces a small handful of images. This is not remotely a complete image replacer.

 

The short version: This replaces a few of the images in the game with AI generated versions. 

 

This includes:

• Jade has a significant replacement set
• “Mia” has a significant replacement set
• Alexia has her intro, profile, and bathroom images replaced.
• Hollis has a pair of images
• “The Office” people at the office have less-celebrity-like versions for their main portraits

 

The story behind this: I had previously proposed that it might be possible to train a LoRA on the art from X-Change Life, making it possible to use Stable Diffusion to create images for free, rather than the dev needing to use a paid photo filter app.

 

After taking a little time to learn how AI training works, it turns out…that’s probably not the case. That said, it *can* produce some pretty images from time to time (and can *almost* act like a filter with a whole lot of ControlNet and effort).

 

I did have a lot of fun trying different experiments, many of which resulted in the images I used in this set. I decided to try making what I had into a mod, and figured other people might be interested in it, too, so I’m sharing here.

 

No idea how many more of these I’ll do, but I’ll try to update the file if I expand on the set.

Awesome work! I like a lot of these better than those in the base game, particularly the office characters.

Thanks! I was originally trying to keep it fairly loyal, but you suggested that you liked the office people not looking quite like The Office people, so I got to have more fun with that.

 

Toughest part of the main girls is getting models that make for a good likeness and play well with the Prequelized versions. And anything that needs hands...or has to have them doing specific actions. ?

i love this mod... can you update all the images , face, clothes etc only for characters. There is new update, this is much better then basic game images.

It's a ton of work, unfortunately. I've been working on bigger mods lately, and haven't had the time to dedicate to making more of these. ?
