CTD close to loreius farm

so im having a ctd close to loreius farm in the path that connects with dawnstar.after surfin internet found that it might be related to night gate inn problem is that the log says its texture related nothing of the inn.tried to fast travel there and ctd too also tried to remove monster,texture updatin mods nothing.

Issue is in a texture used by a nif: NiSourceTexture

It may be inside a bsa file: CompressedArchiveStream

 

Unfortunately there's no mention of a nif, nor a dds in the stack so that's all you get in that regard.

 

If you're competent with computers you may be able to significantly lower the amount of mods to check if you run ProcMon (Sysinternals, Microsoft) in the background and go to the area that causes the crash (fast traveling to reduce the log size could be a good idea). Filter the log for nif, dds and/or bsa files and in theory the problematic file(s) should be near the end of the log.

ok so did what you said and cant seem to find the nisourcetexture.do you need the log?

NiSourceTexture is most likely an internal name for a texture in a nif file, you probably won't see that, even in NifSkope. You're looking for dds, nif and/or bsa files close to the timestamp where the game crashed like I said. As for the log, sure, I can take a look at it. However before you go uploading it anywhere keep in mind that it will contain personal information, perhaps even information that will identify you.

 

I've worked with information far more sensitive with this. It's sort of part of the job description when you've been in IT for over 30 years. But in the end I'm just another creep on the internet and you should trust nothing I or anyone else says.

 

Edit: You can filter the log and save it filtered to limit the damage but at the end of the day it's on your responsibility to manage your data.

so apparently the texture ctd got fixed but it became this.

i updated the mod yes i know fool me a cheat mod actually.

This fixed the ctd so its resolved.
