Help Interpreting a Crash Log

Recommended Posts

So, updated to Anniversary Edition because I was tired of fighting the updates, and something Steam did broke my last mod list anyways.

Neither Vortex or WyreBash are showing any conflicts or missing masters.

Only problem is I'm running into the same issue now where I'm getting a CTD from the main title screen as the game loads up. I've got a crash log but I've only an extremely vague idea of what I'm looking at, not enough to figure out a fix. Someone mind lending a hand if at all possible?

Bloodsuckerfish (0x00058537) from DemonicCreatures.esp. However as far as I know there shouldn't be any incompatibilities like this between SE and AE. If all you truly did was update to AE and change nothing else, then the problem is somewhere else and Bloodsuckerfish just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The callstack would answer this question but unfortunately all entries are inside SkyrimSE.exe where it's impossible to get a debugger without bypassing anti-tamper and/or DRM.

Edit: So basically if disabling DemonicCreatures.esp and starting a new game doesn't fix it then pick a few random cells from various ends of Skyrim (some outdoors, some indoors) and coc to them directly from the main menu. Post the crash logs from these coc attempts and I'll have another look.

Seems like that did the trick, so something during the last Demonic Creatures or AE update made the two incompatible. My money is on the former. I was running the exact same mod set for over a year on Special Edition without issue before something suddenly broke without warning and it was the exact same problem - so either Steam updated Skyrim when I wasn't looking and the downgrade patch didn't fix the issue or something else happened.

Removing Demonic Creatures seems to have fixed the problem, though, so it sounds like the mod may need a look at.
