Wanderer22 Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 I'm traveling in a month or so and wanted to stock up some stuff on the Steam Deck. For the hotel room, not on the plane.. lol Any suggestions for light games that won't tax the Deck too hard, that can be lewded out? Or good sexy VNs?
NobodyMan22 Posted June 30, 2023 Posted June 30, 2023 (edited) I'm fairly certain that my shitty Ubuntu powered waffle presser is worse than Steam Deck. Handles Skyrim just fine with only few little touches. Like removing grass, or fiddling with LOD distance, through BethINI. Resulting picture quality is in attachment. 150 mods so far, with HDT physics for hair and accessories and clothes (that whole skirt on screenie is a huge HDT mesh swaying all over the place upon any movement) and stuff. Even SlaveTats with its 4+GB worth of tats textures is doing well. (which, for context, is ALOT for that mediocre hunk'o'junk) Didn't installed any high-rez packs though. LIke high-poly heads and HDT-enabled rectums and stuff. As of games, anything not too GPU-heavy non-Unity based works. Unity based games became utter shit after engine update of 2019 so it's a goddamn roulette each time. Disco Elysium and RimWorld, surprisingly, work fine. Last Epoch and Cities: Skylines, surprisingly, do not. You can even try GTA V (vanilla - because modded servers are resource hogs) on min-to med (or BF4 on med to high) presets. If in doubt, check ProtonDB - it have a dedicated section for Steam Deck compatibility and performance. Edited June 30, 2023 by NobodyMan22
