Sexlab and persistant PC lock ups.

It seems like I'm having a never ending list of problems with sexlab, which is kinda sad since this mod has so much potential. Some of you may remember my other thread about not getting animations to work. I finally got them to working(it was a mod conflict)...but now it freezes up my PC and I have to flip the power switch. It's usually at the end of sex or when switching animations. I've used several different mods too....right now I'm using sexlab z, and that's the only one.

 

I have noticed when I use the masturbation animation everything works just fine, but when having sex with someone it almost always locks up my PC. If it helps my PC specs are AMD Athlon 3000X dual core, 2 gb ram, windows XP and ATI Radeon 4770 with 512 mb.

Just taking a shot in the dark here, but seeing the number of mods your running on 2 Gb of ram and the video card you have,  it's most likely crashing or freezing do to running out of memory.  I may be wrong, but you either need to cut way down on the mods you have or beef up your computer if you expect to use all those mods along with sexlab, if you don't want any issues.

I've disabled all those but sexlab and still had freezes.

I think I may have found the cause.  When I have sex with someone who's been recruited it usually freezes my game, but if I dismiss them and have sex with them I don't get a freeze. I've also tested this with an NPC who can't be recruited, hunter, and no freeze yet again. I'm using amazing follower tweaks. I didn't disable this mod when I ran my test character for sexlab to try and find the cause, as it's so essential.

 

I could be wrong, though. Some of the animations may just work better for me than others. I really wish someone could help.

You have a lot of mods I've never used. But here is what I recommend.

 

Start a vanilla game.

Get to Riverwood.

Save it.

Exit.

Disable ALL mods.

Enable 1-5 mods (don't forget patches and dependancies that those might require)

Load Save.

Test if freeze.

If not. Exit and enable 1-5 more.

Load Save.

Test if freeze.

If not. Exit and enable 1-5 more.

If yes. Exit and Disable 1 and repeat until you find the culprit.

Once found you can try to move it in your load order or completely run without it.

 

Finally. Sometimes checking your papyrus logs can help. Look for errors that repeat themselves a lot. And just keep in mind a lot of errors are more informational then actual problems.

Thus far I haven't had any more freezes......if I dismiss my follower first or use it on someone who isn't following me. It's either AFT or some script within sexlab itself that's screwing up.
