katrina.balanchuk Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 (edited) I dont know if its NAC-X that does it or Vivid Fallout all in one. But now that I play with graphics settings half and half, Ultra and High, my hair actually gets wet when it rains! Or could it be vanilla and it just happens on higher settings? So this makes the game more visceral and immersive to me. If I had not gotten this new graphics card I would have never dared to turn up the graphics settings (and the game owuld ahve played like molasses if I had even now in very busy areas I get the occasional hiccup in movement especially shortly after a loadscreen and/or when multiple things are happening at the same time.)
Gameplayer Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 Hey kat, that is actually normal game settings when they are high enough, your additional graphics mods for enrich the effect. The default game lighting is well better than previous games but still really eh, hope starfield is richer in actual gameplay. Nice to hear your new PC is treating you well Have fun. 1
deathmorph Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 A new computer is a miracle, I also noticed that at the end of last year. Another reason to dive into the game for months or years. 1

I still get some stutter on occasion but less than before and of course my settings are so much higher. Looking back maybe I should have gotten an even better CPU I dont know how much this i9 10900kf is overclocked. Cant be too much, because if runs relatively cool (40s of C)

Thanks for the Help! -I used the GEforce experience tab from NVIDIA. It had recommendded settings it would do if I toggled the "optimize" tab. I looked at the settings and some were Ultra, some High and weapons debris turned off and godrays on low or off. -Alternatively: Often if u start the game via F4SE it will try to start up via Steam. And instead of pushing play I exit. But before u exit Steam's Fallout 4 game popup, there is an option to go into Steams Fallout 4 settings tab and it allows to to adjust a whole bunch of graphics settings. (though I am not sure if it was as many as in the NVIDIA control panel) Edited July 24, 2023 by katrina.balanchuk

If you do not have an NVIDIA graphics card then the GEexperience tab will not exist. You will have to find and manipulate the settings via Steam's Fallout 4 pop up window Edited July 24, 2023 by katrina.balanchuk
