Last Exception possible cause WW and Crashes

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

New here and  no idea how any of this works, but I keep getting a Last Exception supposedly caused by WW according to Better Exceptions. The game does not crash or anything, but earlier today it did crash a lot (white screen and crash or black screen and PC reboot). I repaired the game, solved other possible causes and now I don't get crashes just LE.

This is what BE says

Possible Cause: wickedwhims\main\game_handlers\_ts4_sims_spawn_limit.py

Reason: Error during inventory load (RuntimeError: [Zone: 5f3110078ef70f6] Object ID: [be00d0193800006, 0x00000000000257b7] is not OBJECT, PersistenceGroup = 3 )

The LE file attached.

And the last crash file from earlier.  I dont know if WW is the cause or not, but if anyone can see if it is caused by WW I would be super grateful.

A problem with an object in sim inventory failing to load. It can be base game, or it can be mod related. One possible reason is if you for example have changed things in your mods folder (adding or removing mods) without deleting the cache file after that. Delete localthumbscache file and avatarcache files, load the game again. If you do not get the error you are free to go. If you get the same error then save in a new save slot , exit the game, delete again the cache files, do a game repair, load that new save and that should do it.

In any case remember that it can sometimes be base game error, and it is most of the time safe to ignore it unless the game spam this error (then something wrong is going on ?).

Thank you for the super fast reply, LittleRedSonja!

I think I did all, or almost all, of that earlier, after all the crashes, but before getting the LE . I did delete mods and did delete localthumbscache, but not the avatarcache.... I will try to do that now and hopefully that helps without having to do the whole repair thing again.

And it wouldn't surprise me if it is base game error btw!

Thanks again!

Hi LittleRedSonja (and anyone else who reads this)

I did what you told me and that specific LE kept coming back. I think I narrowed it down to an animation package. I deleted all animations and had no problems until I added that specific one back.

But now I am getting another LE (only had this once, and maybe it is base game) and I still crash sometimes.

Just in case, the LE was the following according to BetterExceptions:

Category ID: routing_component.py:472

Reason:    Exception in Sim Timeline: Exception resuming Element (TypeError: argument 5 must be _pathing.SurfaceIdentifier, not None)

The WWInfoLog says: [MAIN/ERROR] A native exception occurred.

I checked Conflict Report from BE  and get the following (attached file).

I also get mod compatibility problems from BE (Patch Day Results Scan), all WW animation tuning related . All mods are updated to the latest ones after May 30, so outdated mods is not the issue.

Could the conflict between WW and the animation packages be causing issues?

Thanks!

Hello, please upload all LE files (default Sims 4 LE, WWlog file, mccc exception or the BE) you get here and not just copy-paste part of them. It doesn't help trying to figure out the issue.

Also the conflict file doesn't help one bit and is missleading, because those animations are specifically made for WW and work great. I have animations from both 'conflicting' for you authors and never had issues. It's extremly weird BE shows such report.

(also I personally do not use BE as it was incorectly flagging mods as problematic a lot of times)

Hi,

I thought it was weird to get those reports since animations are updated and so is WW. Since I also had/have crashes since I installed mods, I thought it could be related, especially since the BE files say it could be caused by WW. I didn't know BE flagged mods incorrectly as problematic, will keep that in mind. I am pretty new to all this, so I don't really know a lot.

I will try to upload everything you asked for, hope I get it right this time.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this!

I think quoting is how you get a notification... so doing that now (God I feel stupid).

Are those brand new LE files?

If yes then LE assistant says this:

Inventory Object Loading Error
Base game issue with loading an object in an inventory of a Sim or a container.

This error can occur when an object that is being loaded has changed its data structure or the loaded object comes from a modification and fails to spawn into the world. This can result in the loaded inventory being empty. If the game loaded without anything missing, you're safe to ignore this error.

WW and mccc both say you have 2 duplicated files:
Possible Duplicated Mod Files (2): [0.6 Scaled] Noir Sex Toy - 01.package, [0.6 Scaled] Noir Sex Toy - 04.package

Maybe remove those duplicates, clean avatarcatche and localthumbnail catche and try game again.

Also what animations file was causing you errors beforehand? Maybe something needed for those animations stayed back and is interrupting game.

Edit:

Or maybe you're missing a cum mesh from cherry pie (old one) as this is used in some animations.

Here, try adding those files to your mods (I took it from my own mods folder, they work perfectly well and both came with animations I downloaded on LL) and overrite both:

CherryPie_CumMesh.package CherryPie_CumMesh_OLD.package

No worries. I was clueless how to tag someone for a long time, until I asked someone here.

You can use @ and after it start writing the username of person you want to tag: @marfen34 and then click on what will show up:
image.png.ee508bfb4aaae017c5131273551b1608.png

It will tag the person and send notification withouth need to quote too.

The attached was the LE I got earlier today. The one I kept getting before is the one in my first post from last Wednesday.

Duplicated files! Should I delete both or just one? They are both in the CC folder that came with the animation package. Every time I change a mod now I do clear both avatar and localthumb caches. Before only the second since that is what I read you were supposed to do. So I will make sure to do it now too.

The LE from before, I thought it could have been lupobianco animations? I deleted all the animation files and after adding that one I had a LE again. Which is the only reason I thought it might have been that. Oh, and because it appeared in the BE file. But I really don't know, it could totally be a coincidence.

About the CherryPie mesh, I am missing the old one, I do have the new one. I dont know if I had either before though. Could that have caused the LE from before you think? When I downloaded the anims I just downloaded  the required extras, not the recommended... I started with WW mod like a week ago so I really am just trying to figure all this out. And only  today, when you asked for the mccc exception, I went looking for it and found out about it existing! So thanks for that, it actually makes kind of sense when I read it - not enough to figure out what exactly is going on and how to fix it, but at least I kind of got what it was trying to say.)

Thank you!  Again!

With duplicated files just delete one of duplicates. For example: you have file A and file A-duplicate. You delete just the duplicate.(in MCCC exception you can see all your mods listed and it also marks duplicates, so it's easy to look for them in mods folder).

Like previously LittleRedSonja said the LE might be related also to base game bug itself, cause we all know Sims 4 has shitton of issues on it's own.

The old CheryPie cum mesh won't hurt you and might be usefull if you add more animations, cause it's used in some of older animations. So for exampe if animation (aka. WW) is looking for the mesh it might be missing and cause errors or disable some animations from use.

In terms of animations I usually download all required and some recomended things except from bigger mods, like NisaK Wicked Perversions and such, cause I know I won't play with it.

But generally the build/buy stuff doesn't hurt and can just hangout in mods.

With avatacatche and localthumbnailcatche I delete them each time I stop playing with Sims 4, so if I add/remove something before next session I won't have issues.

Edit:

I checked, I also have lupobianco animations in my mods with no issues. Maybe try redownloading the file and add new copy to mods. Who knows, maybe older one got corrupted for whatever reason.

Or you can try the game with just WW + all animations and see if LE occurst then. If not, then something might be conflicting in your mods folder and the 50/50 method might help then: https://simscommunity.info/2022/09/08/sos-how-to-50-50-your-the-sims-4-mods-folder/

I did everything you wrote (duplicates, added old CheryPie cum mesh, downloaded all CC for anims, redownloaded lupobianco etc).

Well... Immediately tried WW animation (though practically all of the errors I got before never happened during sex animations btw) and got LE and crash during. Deleted animations package involved when crashing. Did exactly the same thing I had done when getting LE and crash. No crash during animation (another animation than before obviously), but then I got a crash when one sim was eating and the other showering. The LE mentioned the object that had been duplicated before (at least it looked like it was the same) so I deleted the whole cc folder it came in. Again, did what I had done. No LE or crash during animation or shower/eating. So sent one sim to uni to give a lecture and the other stayed home. Crash during lecture.

No idea if what I wrote makes sense or is helpful at all, but I have been trying to fix this for a while and my brain is kind of fried. Btw, my PC is ok, specs are more than good enough for the game, drivers etc are  up to date (my bf is good at that, he has been building our PC's for years and never had any problems) but neither he nor I get any of this. Last time this happened (repeated crashes) I just turned off PC and came back after a day or two and then everything was fine for 2 or so days.

Anyway, I will do the 50/50 method again... (I did it a week or so ago). But if you or anyone else has any ideas/suggestions I will be reading here!

Again, thank you!

Hm. Game is acting very weird... Especially if LE and crashes happen with normal actions.

In this case I would try reinstalling or repairing the game, as some files might got corrupted in the game itself. (again, Sims 4 being a buggy mess)

If you care about your saves, then copy the saves and tray folder to desktop or somewhere safe, reinstall/repair game and 1st try vanilla creating new household > exit game, add WW and animations > delete catche and run the game for test (allowing CC and script mods).

If you don't care about your saves just delete saves and mods folder > repair game > proceed as described above.

Thank you both so much for your help!

I did the whole repair game/delete cache files, clear app cache etc.

I did vanilla test with a coupe of very recent old saves and crashed and got LE's, so saves probably corrupted (even a very old save from months ago before mods). Vanilla test with completely new game (have no idea if starting from 0 is "new save" or if creating a new save from an old save is "new save"...) and didn't crash. Installed just MCCC and everything fine the first hour, then I crashed several times in 30 minutes and later again (no LEs). I said whatever, and  decided to just install all my old mods and a ton of new mods I just wanted to check out. I haven't crashed at all. And this is not just one hour game play each time, but several. So I will just wait and see, and this weekend will have someone do a hardware check. Sometimes (extremely rare) the drive where the game is installed in  doesnt appear in windows file explorer, but re starting PC fixes it. I did a hard drive check on it and health is a 100%, but  maybe it is something minor that doesn't show up? But other games, like RedDeadRedemption and Assasin's Creed, I have on that drive have no problem (the odd crash here and there, but nothing like with TS) So, basically, I have no clue about what is going on.

About the toys, I dont have any toy boxes in the lot I was playing. I got the same notice before downloading CC objects you mentioned and the train puppies mod. Could it be coming from one of my unplayed households in world? They do have toy boxes (and lots of kids).

I really hope to learn more about this so I can figure things out on my own sometimes too. It is quite interesting, apart from the annoying factor of not being able to play!

Thanks again!
