Changing NPC hair color with Creation Kit (SSE)

Hello, I'm trying to change the hair color of my follower so she can wear wigs. These wigs apply the hair color of the NPC's data in Creation Kit. What's the best way to do this? So far, I've been fumbling around CK and every time I save the application crashes.
