Apahguinsimo Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) This hair has an issue in which it sometimes looks correct under certain light sources, but then under other light sources it looks dark and almost textureless. Some lights make it look darker and greyer, some make it look almost black. These screenshots tell the tale, the first is how it should look and the second is how it sometimes looks under other light sources. These screenshots were taken about 5 meters apart in the same cell, to give an idea of how different light sources shine on this hair. How it should look and How it shouldn't look. Â The hair is worn as an equipped wig rather than a hair selected at character creation, if that matters. Â I have another similar wig which does not have this problem and always displays correctly. I've been working at this for a long time and never figured it out. The closest I came to fixing it was by deleting the top layer of mesh; this does "fix" the problem, but it also deletes a large portion of the hair's volume and its higher quality texture, leaving a thinner hair with low res textures so that's no fix. Â Is there a way to fix this so it displays correctly? I've included the mesh itself and its textures in case they are required to diagnose this. Thanks for any help that can be provided. Â Edit:Â Looks like imgur is working on LL again? I hope the two images display so I'll attach them too just in case, top is how the hair should look and bottom is the problem. Apahguinsimo Posted June 9, 2023 Author Posted June 9, 2023 THANK YOU, it looks like that fixed it. I haven't tested every light source but I tested the worst offenders and it displays correctly now. What did you do to fix it? In case I see it again in the future.
Apahguinsimo Posted June 10, 2023 Author Posted June 10, 2023 thank you, so the hair was missing those three tags. To learn more, is there a purpose to not having these flags on a hair, or is this sort of a mistake by whoever made it?
