Is there a mod that allows you to romance NPCs (anything from settlers to "friendly" enemies, etc.) -- also some complaints about freezing/crashing

I've been looking for a mod that can allow you to romance NPCs for some time, and found Magna Cum Gaudio (MCG), which has the functionality to marry/date NPCs.

However, I have a feeling that some parts of MCG are causing my game to freeze or crash, which I'm trying to look into -- however, it could also be that my 564-plugin load order, which does contain script-heavy mods like Sim Settlements 2 might also be causing problems. I also tried Previsibines Repair Pack, but it causes glitches around certain areas.

 

So, back to it.

Is there any sort of mod out there allowing you to make a romanced companion/romance NPCs that aren't already companions?
