BANNED for thinking the Guillotine was just some fancy gadget for modern history museums

(That marathon needs much less equipment, causes less traffic jams, is accessible for many more people aaaaand has much better catering :classic_happy: )

Banned for not mentioning that the Guillotine was not only efficient, but also eco-friendly (for those who care about that stuff) as it did not burn fossil fuel to use... like a noose... or drawn and quartering (although horses fart, and some take issue with methane)... but I digress

BANNED for failing to consider the fossil fuel usage in smelting the steel for the blade. Further, the loss of trees to capture carbon used in the Guillotine frame should also have been in your calculation. Go plant some trees in penance.

Banned for thinking you need an entire foundry to make a single blade (wasteful) or that an entire forest is necessary for a single frame... blacksmith and hot bellows with anvil and hammers, one tree felled (by a woodsman with a sharp ax... made by the smith) for one frame (and a new ax handle) and ten acorns dropped... renewed for the greeners amongst us... oops! The woodsman's horse farted as he dragged the tree to the miller... damn methane!
