Most of my characters that I have mentioned on this forum of deviants are based around modern incarnations of classic diablical creatures.

Â And I do know from frequent references in pop culture that the myth of a vampire stem from the middle east. It originally was some sort of hybrid between an evil woman and a winged mammal. The only other mythical beings that I know of that predate the greeks/egyptians are a form of towering scorpion guardians that guard a mountain city or something.
