default vs non default .....

can someone tell me what's the difference between a default and a non default body part? in this case its a penis cc that ive downloaded making me choose between default and non default. as far as i know both can be chosen as body parts on ww select bodypart menu....

Default means that it overrides EA default parts, like body, eyes, skin, etc.. 

 

Non Default has to be "equipped", either through CAS or whatnot

thats what i thought but it did not overwrite the body parts in my CAS though. how and where do u place the downloaded default files???

What specifically is the default that you are trying to use? Skin? Eyes? Maybe I can help sort it out.

it is BANK42n's bttb6 better body for men + penis default files. i dropped 1 of each (1btm+1top) as instructed along with all the non defaults into the mods folder hoping when i enter CAS it will be set as default. but it is still the original ww skin and penis

I believe what is going on is that WW is overwriting your BTTB.. Try doing this https://simplifiedmodding.tumblr.com/post/653467282670026752/tutorial-how-to-create-a-working-overrides-folder and see if uses the BTTB instead. 

 

When you have multiple default overrides it picks one, I believe the last one loaded, but not 100% on that. If you set up an override folder like above, you can assign which one will take priority.

Some quick troubleshooting questions:

 

1.) Do you see the Bank42n texture in Create a Sim when they're naked? If no:

You have more than one default installed. The game will usually pick the first one it finds alphabetically, so all my defaults are in their own folder in Mods called "! Defaults" so they are always picked first.

 

If it shows in CAS - but not in game under the "Bathing," outfit then that is normal - WickedWhims has it's own default that it always uses for bathing.

 

It's easy to fix though. Go to MC Dresser from a computer or laptop in-game live mode, open MC, MC Dresser, and turn off the option to "Clean Bathing Suits" options.

 

Then click any male character, go into Wicked Whims, Anatomy, Body Select, and pick the Bank penis for soft and hard you want. (You can either do this sim by sim, or have it select all male sims and just apply medium to all sims)

In CAS...

 

Default is whatever your sim comes with (Example - A cock. The Default cock is whatever is attached to their body but a CC cock can be something like Noir & Dank's Pornstar Cock)

 

Personally, I prefer to take the "If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT" approach. That is to say if my sim is capable of getting women pregnant with the cock he already has, WHY CHANGE IT??
