Kierst Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 This crash just keeps happening and I'm not sure on what to do. Crash log: https://pastebin.com/DgWLq3md It crashes when I initiate OSTIM on Valerica in Soul Carin, but it works well on Serana. What could be the issue?
Jotasran Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 (edited) My first instinct would be to check the form ID of Valerica ( 02003B8B ) in xEdit and if that Mihail mod is doing something to a texture, mesh or her skeleton. Edited June 3, 2023 by Jotasran
traison Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Well the crash occured deep in OSA.dll so there's clearly a bug there. I guess the question is what was it trying to do, and can it be avoided. Send me a link to the mod that provides the OSA.dll file, and what version of that mod you have, and I'll tell you what it was doing.

OSA.dll is in this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/76724?tab=posts&BH=2 My version is 6.6f and I see a new version 6.7e now. I am using popular one click collection installer, and assumed that the collection author would update the collection themselves, so updating mods myself to newer versions haven't crossed my mind. I tried to reinstall the whole collection itself hoping it'll come with all updated mods but it haven't. I updated it to a newer version by uninstalling the current one through Vortex and installing the newer version and it works now. Hopefully it doesn't break anything. I am not that experienced with modding or how to correctly update mods, so hopefully I did it correctly.
traison Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 Considering this was almost certainly a bug with the dll itself, you could have attempted to replace the dll only. As in, pluck it out of a newer version of the mod and replacing the dll in the older (already installed) version. Happy you got it working tho.
No - the authors of such collections are not obliged to update them... if one of the mods they use gets a new version one of the reasons why the experienced mod users and especially the mod authors warn against the use of such collections or generally advise against them
