4k face mods

Help me to understand. Everywhere they write that 2k and 4k face textures will conflict with any overlays that have a lower resolution. But how then to make beautiful pictures of my  character, what makeup to use? I downloaded this mod: https://www.trophihunter.com/fallout4-mods/4k-face

I also have the same question.

I would be open to downloading from more other sites if I fully understood the implications of these different resolutions. For example, is the vanilla looksmenu 1k , or? 0.5 k? do we need an HD pack to use 2k faces? 4k faces?

and what will happen if I have makeup from looksmenu on them which for usre is nt 4k or even 2 k?
