Resizing Weapon Mod in Skyrim

Does anyone know how to resize weapons? I have downloaded a weapon mod from a foreign website called "Three Katana". It comes with three elemental swords fire (fire being my favorite), ice, and lightning. The mod also comes with a sheath, but both the sword and sheath are really large and looks a little weird being swung with one hand. i am wondering if there is anyone that can show me how to make the sword smaller (Sheath 0.7 scale, swords 0.65 scale) or can someone resize the mod and upload it for me to use? I tried to do it myself, but each time I try to load the mod in the game, the weapon would disappear, but I can swing as if im holding the sword. Here is a link to the website with the mod. I tried to contact the modder, but it seems I am region locked, and I am unable to understand japanese (Absent google translate).

I have the skyrim creation kit, but I am new to the whole thing. I gave it a try, but the game would crash, and I couldn't manipulate the .BSA files. Can someone please help me? I am also adding the file if there is anyone kind enough to help me with such a task. I only want the swords to scale like a normal sword but slightly modified (again sheath 0.7 scale, swords 0.65)

Actually if you use Racemenu you can adjust the size of the weapon on the character creation screen.

Yeah I've actually tried that, but it changes EVERY weapon of that type, I only want the one sword changed and scaled. Is there any other way just to get one weapon changed and not all?

only other way that I know of would be to edit the scale of the weapon in nifskope but I've never actually tried to do it myself so I couldn't tell you what to expect if you try it.

Yeah, I was told that as well, but I cannot get the weapon to stay the same size and work in-game. When I edit the scaling with "Nifskope" I go to transform, edit scaling and save by overwriting the orignal nif file. Now here is were the problem lies (which is two actually):

1. As I finish the edit I go to save by overwriting the original nif, but when I load it up again it reverts back to being normal as if I didn't do anything to it at all

2. Once I am done, I don't know how to load the file back into the .BSA file so the game can use. I tried using the "Archive" tool to repack it, but when I load the game up, my character swings as if she is holding a sword, but the sword is invisible. All I want to do is scale the "Three Katana" mod to have the sheath 0.7 in scale, and the swords 0.65 in scale. It is a really beautiful mod, I think that it's scaling is too big.

once you've extracted the meshes and Textures from the BSA file you can actually throw that BSA away so long as you place the Meshes and Textures where they need to be the esp/esm will use the extracted files.

How would I activate the mod to be used in game. I usually compress the files and upload them via "Nexus Mod Manager". Should I:

A: Load the mod using the Nexus Mod manager, go into the Skyrim/Data directory and manipulate the mod using nifskope, while it is still loaded in the manager?

or

B: Skip using the mod manager altogether, and work with the files manually, by extracting the meshes/textures and place them in the skyrim/data directories?

Generally what I do with BSA packed mods that I intend to edit is

A: Extract the esp/esm and the bsa file

B: Extract the meshes & Textures from the bsa

C: Create a file named Data Then Copy & Paste the Meshes/Texture file and the esp/esm into that file

D: Recompress the Data file using either Winrar or 7Zip

E: install the mod with a mod manager (NMM)

F: edit the meshes in Nifskope.

Ok, I unzipped the original mod files. Once extracted, the file only contains one .bsa file, and one .esp but not a .esm file

I then unpacked the .bsa using "bsa unpacker". once extracted, i see folders named:

1. textures

2. meshes

3. script

4. sound

Now, the "fire katana" files I want to scale are in the "meshes" folder. Ok, at this point my files are edited, and I have them repacked with the "Archive" tool that is in the default c:/program files/skyrim install directory, and I have rezipped the files using "7zip".  I load the mod into "Nexus Mod Manager" but when I get in game, the weapon does not appear in my character's hand nor does the sheath that the mod comes with. I am at a stand still now on how to go about scaling the weapons, and getting them to work properly.

I don't know if I am archiving the files wrong, or if I am not saving the files right using nifskope. I will try your method and see if that works

EDITED:

OK!!! I have everything going good so far, now I only need only one more step:

In nifskope when I resize the mesh, it doesn't stay the size I made it when I load skyrim up. Now when I attempt to "Transform" the mesh, should I push "Apply" BEFORE scaling the mesh? or do I push apply AFTER I rescale the mesh? When I choose apply before scaling, it revert back to 1.000

UPDATE:

Finally!!! I am able to scale the mod as intended. Thank you "Keera" for your in-depth detail on how to solve this issue. In Nifkope, I was not hitting "Apply" AFTER I edited the meshes. Once I did that, I loaded up the game and everything work as I hoped. For future references, if there is anyone who are looking to resize/scale meshes and textures, please follow the instructions in this post provided by Keera. Again, thank you for your time and effort in helping me with this issue.
