thealucid Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 This only cropped up fairly recently, and without any alteration on my part to my mods when it first started happening. I'm guessing at this point there's some mod conflicts that might be causing the issue, because from what I've seen my save game bloat isn't all that significant compared to others (Around 17mb per save file). I'd also enabled SKSE's 'clearinvalidregistrations' to try and cut back on what bloat there might be however. I'm currently using SKSE 6.6.16, FINS 3.5, Dual Sheath Redux 1.6b, and ASIS 1.34.3, if you think they might be the likely culprits, also using ENB .0212. Long story short, BOSS doesn't seem to complain about anything except for the occasional dirty edit, and I haven't gotten a CTD, so I'm guessing the problem is a little more subtle? I was hoping someone might point out likely mods in my load order that might help resolve the infinite load screen problem. SAKE Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Do the infinite load screens occur when loading a save or during gameplay?
johnnyboy88 Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Some people have had success with infinite load screens by adding this to their Skyrim.ini [MapMenu]//allows full 360 degree map rotation. (default=80.0000)fMapWorldYawRange=3600.0000 As for papyrus settings, this will tell you what those settings do http://www.creationkit.com/INI_Settings_%28Papyrus%29 Basically, papyrus settings in the ini change how much resources are given to run the scripts and how much time they are given to run. It's possible to actually make things worse by changing those settings from their default values. Although is some cases when a lot of scripts are running some people have had success using the frostfall papyrus settings. https://sites.google.com/site/skyrimsurvivorseries/frostfall/troubleshooting I have yet to find a way to benchmark the differences those settings make though. I would suggest you leave them at default values unless you are getting errors that pop up on screen about your scripts or specific dumps in your papyrus log.
thealucid Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 Do the infinite load screens occur when loading a save or during gameplay? Only during gameplay it seems, I can load the game but when transitioning from the area I'm currently occupying I get an infinite load screen. That being said, I can use the console command 'coc' to go to an area like the Riften Bee and Barb inn, but aside for interiors I can't exit to the world space it seems. So maybe this is a problem with a mod that affects the world space? Like Lanterns of Skyrim? Some people have had success with infinite load screens by adding this to their Skyrim.ini [MapMenu] //allows full 360 degree map rotation. (default=80.0000) fMapWorldYawRange=3600.0000 As for papyrus settings, this will tell you what those settings do http://www.creationkit.com/INI_Settings_%28Papyrus%29 Basically, papyrus settings in the ini change how much resources are given to run the scripts and how much time they are given to run. Thank you both for your quick responses
thealucid Posted September 8, 2013 Author Posted September 8, 2013 Unfortunately it didn't seem to resolve the problem, attached is the Papyrus log. This was generated with the maximum settings though as opposed to the default ones, tell me if another would be more useful. I had ESRO installed on this save file awhile back, but I had removed it, it seems like a lot of assets from that particular mod are still being attempted to load though. I was hoping setting up the 'clearinvalidregistrations' property for SKSE would eventually remove those particular scripts, but is there some way the save game can be cleaned? Otherwise I still find it a little odd this became a problem now and not earlier.
johnnyboy88 Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 You can determine if it's left over scripts from uninstalled mods just by starting a new game. Try disabling autosaves in skyrimprefs.ini [MAIN] bSaveOnPause=0bSaveOnTravel=0bSaveOnWait=0bSaveOnRest=0 Sometimes too high textures can cause it as well. If you have any 4k textures reduce them to 2k or 1k. Sometimes this can help in your skyrim.ini [GENERAL] //Prevents crashes when loading into a large interior area.iLargeIntRefCount=131072 I didn't see any map mods in your list but in case I missed it try disabling those. Sometimes too many save games can cause it for some people. If all else fails try disabling all mods and enable them just a couple at a time to find the conflict.

That seemed to have fixed it, was able to leave the place I'd been stuck in and enter the world space. Not sure if it was disabling the auto save feature or the LargeIntRefCount though. Thanks johnnyboy88!
