[Mod]Bar whore mod

I wasn't sure if this was still working with Ver 18.  I tried a few times having sex for money at the bar, but so far no events have trigged.  Anyone able to verify?

Just wanted to drop a quick thank you for all your hard work! This is by far my favorite mod for the game and I know you're rebuilding things and it's gonna be a long wait for new content while you just get it all working. But it is definitely worth it!

Not sure if this error has been brought up in discord or here but when PC comes back to work for Dredd after paying up. He gives pill which PC can accept or reject, if accepted Dialogue

" Dominic will see you tomorrow" Dredd says,----

 

plays but chooseable options don't come up.

Which seems very weird seeing your file definitely contains options to choose from.

I have the same problem, same message, then just seems to hang there, with nothing to press, like continue or next..... how come? 

 

Also another little issue I have is that the moment, one takes Dredd´s pill however the way, I think, it seems to mess up the side effect information in the stats archive screen, see pic. 

 

is that supposed to happen, I mean he did say something about the pill would take some time "wash out" of yourself after taking the anti pill, is that what has happened here? or is it an actual error in the mod?

a little question about the bw-mod, next upd. due to the standard game now allowing for the dom/sub relationship with Frank, that are more or less bound to happend if one takes/get a sales demo for the secret-ary pill a few times, and then one become a BW, and they have a run in with Frank while Dominique is over, at some point they"talk" and they say something along the line, you live here for free or something, well in 2 or 3 different chars back, I was paying a weekly sum of 2000-2250, while I the char was BW, as I was having a bit over 125000, so it did seem a bit wierd, to "hear" that.

 

but also if a dom/sub relationship is up an running - 

If Dom rel, - If frank is Dom - Frank loses respect/friendship only for the being a BW once, but otherwise do not say anything as he is, kind of, the only one that gets to "play" with you(could also depend a bit of how much one pays weekly at the time. and for how long one has done so.)

 

If Sub rel, If Frank is sub relation, the relationship shift 180 degree´s so he becomes the dominant, and back to the only one that "plays" with you, unless you go to the club or bar, and if frank is at club he pushes guys away(and they go directly home), and one would have to redo the secret-ary sessions to regain dominance, but that may be shifted back next time he catchest you with Dom.

 

and only if no dom/sub relationship is at hand the sliding of respect/friendship is a thing.

So I noticed when Dom comes over at night and takes charge, there is no video playing any longer. It just has a blank screen with a countdown of 30 seconds or whatever, but if he lets you suck him, then it plays a scene. I think there might be one other like.. he takes charge scene that ends up blank with a count down, too.

Whenever I try to save a game after the second Dad interaction it gets corrupted and can't be reloaded. Anyone else experience this?

Hello there, about this mod, I am not sure if it is not working correclty due to newest version of x change life, of it I forgot there is something if it is the characthers feminity that is not high enough, as I cannot seem to go to dredd and ask for a job, though i can get caugth by them taking money for sex in the bar.  any thoughts/ideas.

Tried the mod and really loved it. I do favor a more subtle decrease on masculinity mainly when character goes under 50%  and acts as a girl while having sex. If I was already skilled on this kind of programming I'd do it even more subtle but, I'm still too newbie on it. :)

 

Unfortunatelly, probably due to the changes on main game some parts of your mod don't work for me using "XChangeLife-0.21.3" (not sure they were working with previous versions). For example:

1. As female, after playing hooker for Dredd and quiting, next time back and asking him for job, he gives the pill + pill is taken + he says Dominique will get to me further but, game stops and one never comes back to the bar (no "next" or similar button to quit), have to reload page to do it.

2. Going back to bar as male, button "Gloryhole" is shown and active but when one gets down to the gloryhole site and try to enter it, game messes up.

 

Those were 2 issues I've found so far. Have been checking code in VSCode but hey, I'm still a newbie in this kind of coding and use (more skilled in C++ and java) so, can't be of much assistance.

 

Also, I understand that the file to be add using mod loader is just the last one (BarWhore_1.6.6.zip) right?  Or, should I add more of the files you have here to download?

Once you got money enough from "customers", when you try to exit the Broken Drum, your way is blocked by Dredd's bouncer Dominique. That's where Dredd ask you to compensate him for being "working" in his bar either by paying him an amount, by working as hooker or by working in the gloryhole.

It was just that I had experienced in one of the earlier versions, I pc(as a woman I believe) go to the bar, find dredd sitting there, talk with him, and instead of just the 2 options of playing poker, or stripping, and the end talk or what ever it is said, it also had added a third option, that I believe said work for dredd

Never got into that! Usually, I have been loading the mod with mod loader and in spite of the already known issues, that scene in particular works fine for me. Are you using the last release of XCL? Are you using the mod with other mods? Sometimes two mods work on the same passage and some incompatibilities arise.

 

Got to fix the issue when, after quit working for Dredd you want to go back and wants to work for him again.

Started working recently on some parts when main character is having sex with Dominique at home. There are some differet outcomes when you end it up, where stepdad shows up. There are some issues there too. After that I'm going for some issues in the Intro (supposedly, when you go to the bar as male, Dominique approaches you and tell you about the Gloryhole. And then there are issues related to the nes release change (Bedroom interface and activities change). Well, unfortunatelly I'm not very skilled on Harlowe sintax and HTML. But doing my best.

 

On the other hand, I found that there is a guy working on them too. If you go to Discord, he has a new BarWhore mod (surelly based on this one) but he advises that you should not mix both. Haven't tried it yet! Find the link below (lovers lab):

1. You get caught working for money in the Bar by Dominique.

2. You accept to work as whore for Dredd

3. You pay Dredd and quit working for him

4. You decide to go and work for him again.

This time the button "Ask for work" shows up. There's an issue that just after you take the pill, the mod freezes. I got to solve that and I am trying to fix other issues before posting it, credits to the owner given of course.

the order you mentions seems pretty much spot on, though I believe I have experienced atleast in a previous version of the mod to be able to ask for work, even before you get caught the first time.

 

also about the freeze in the mod, if you where to go do something to get caugth by dominique again there is no mod freeze once you take the pill.

Yep! The freezing issue when taking the pill, afaik, arises when you quit and want to work again as whore for Dredd. When you're caught by Dominique first time, the pill thing works fine. For me at least.

 

Now working on the male receiving BJ at the gloryhole issue. Never worked for me.
