stupid ass ea launcher

Is there any way to circumvent the EA launcher to run the game?  Ever since Origin went away, I cant just launch from the Sims exe itself, I have to use the EA launcher, and it forces me to do any updates. I dont need to be online, so I should be able to play without it.  

 

Additionally, what can I expect to be broken with the new update today?  Everything?  

 

Any tips to get around this nonsense will be appreciated. I had no trouble with Origin, never even opened the origin app. WHich is probably why EA got rid of it and utilized their own shitty launcher.  Sucks.

You need to go to the top left of the EA App and click the menu. Then go down to "Go Offline". You'll have to do it each time you go to play the game.

There were some work arounds (Editing a file in notepad and adding an exception to the updated, and the other one was changing your system clock to like January 2023) but all of the work-arounds I have been able to find on Reddit, etc, no longer work.

 

It's possible there are ones I haven't found but I sort of gave up after the 3 methods I found all got patched by EA to not work anymore and just downloaded the EA App...
