drstrangeloove Posted April 12, 2023 Posted April 12, 2023 I wiped my PC last month and now ever sense it shows this when I try to find where my mods from steam went and if I put downloaded mods in here they do not work .
Rakata Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Have you checked "C:\Users\-YourUserName-\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\", or wherever your documents folder is now that you have started over? It is where every link to the steam mods should end up. And also the folder you can put your downloaded mods into. Every mod should come with a "modname.mod" file which holds tiny information about the mod, like version number. And a link to the "modname" folder, where the actual mod pieces are. The file and the folder usually get put in the same place when you download a mod from somewhere other than Steam. Steam just puts a link file in that folder, like "ugc_200000000.mod", and keeps the actual mod files where you found them.
waffleing Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 Steam mods are all stored in teh steam folder and get linked to from your Paradox Folder in the Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod\ Non steam mods need to be in the mod folder.
