[CK] How to make interior sunlight respond to the time of day?

I tried looking into how ELFX does it but I found nothing obvious. The light emitters are not tethered to any scripts, X markers or anything like that. But basically I don't want it to be sunny inside my dungeon at midnight.

Typically when I've had to do this, I've copied the lights from Farengar's room. Looking at the lights there my first guess would be the Emittance tab as it has a reference to an object the CK can't find. Smells like some built-in magic.
