Delite Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 (edited) I'm trying to fix a little clip on the boots, but Outfit Studio shows this message on the screenshot below. I don't understand, how am I supposed to fix clipping without seeing my body preset? The screenshot with the message: Spoiler My steps are: 1. File - Load outfit - From File - selecting .nif with _1 at the end. 2. File - Load Reference - From Template - CBBE Body HDT. 3. Slider - Load Preset - selecting my body preset. 4. Selecting brush. 5. Shift + selecting "Strap", "Buckle", "Boots". 6. Clicking to are with clipping. 7. Getting the message on the screenshot. What am I doing wrong? Edited April 6, 2023 by Delite
bnub345 Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 There are two options here. One, click the little pencil icon next to the slider you want to change. This will allow you to change the morph for that slider. Do this for all sliders that have clipping. This option is a little slower but will work for all presets. Option two is select Slider - Set Base Shape from the menu. This will change the new zero for all sliders to be the same as your preset. While faster, this will only work for the one preset you picked and you would need to redo it if you change presets.

But I don't want to change body preset.

Selecting the pencil next to the slider allows you to edit the outfit morph for that one slider. It will set the slider value to 100 while editing. If you edit the outfit so there is no clipping at 0 and at 100, there should be no clipping anywhere between 0 and 100 either. This will work no matter what preset you use.

This is the boots I'm trying to fix: While I'm using CBBE HDT Body with my own preset, for some reason, this outfit doesn't show up correctly on my side. It has few clipping issues, which I'm trying to fix. I didn't understand what am I supposed to do with the first method you told me about. While the slider is at 100% point, the boots are showing huge clipping. But while the slider is at 0% point, the boots look completely normal. So... What should I do with this information? I'm comletely new to Outfit Stuidio and it seems like I really need a guide. But every guide I could find are showing examples with all sliders set to 0, but I'm trying to fix clipping issues with the sliders set to non-zero values. Here is screenshots of the boots with 100% and 0% values: Spoiler

Ok, I see that you are starting from scratch rather than editing an existing project. Following a guide and learning how the program works is probably a good idea if you want to know how to conform sliders and edit the sliders so you can fit any outfit to any body. However this is a bit lengthy to describe and some parts are easier to understand if you can see what is going on in a video. If you just want the boots to work with the preset you have now, go ahead and follow option 2. This is select Slider - Load Preset, then Slider - Set Base Shape. Now you can use the brushes while the body is the same shape as your preset.
