Morrowind: Transparency/Skimpy Armor Bug.

So I'm playing Morrowind, went pure mage. Got Galsiah's Leveling, Rise of House Telvanni, MGSO, Cult of the Clouds, and Ulvith's Legacy, plus some other mods like Aleanes Armory, Bob's Armory, Hurdy Gurdy "cleavage robes"...etc.

I recently beat Cult of Clouds and set my affinity to the Murky Bottle, which had my favorite weather as well as stats. (10 Speed, 15% resist Normal Weapons, 25% chameleon).

After playing the game for a while, and eventually overwriting the save in which I chose my invulnerability...I figured, hey I'm level 35, archmage and archmagister, with only 100 hp....time to become super power, lets get some new gear, enchant it...etc. (The witch queen gear from Ulvith's Legacy is awesome, but I wanted to go for something a little more...."out there").

So I hop on over to Alleane's and start trying on clothes, only to find that parts of my body are disappearing (courtesy of my 25% chameleon). This is apparently an engine limitation. So my question is:

Are there any mods that remove/change the transparency effect from Chameleon?

Or, dows anyone know a way to remove/change my fog affinity to thunder affinity, preferably via the console?

Even if you know of one, and the link doesnt work, it can be helpful....some of my mods, i dug into internet archives to get.

This sounds like alpha issues. Seen exactly this sort of thing. Often, you can mitigate or eliminate the issues by playing with the Alpha properties of the meshes in NifSkope, but it can take quite a bit of trial and error.

One thing you didn't mention using is the Executable Patch (available on the Nexus). This sorts numerous crippling bugs in the game (the source of many problems. The graphics engine is pretty good, it's just that Beth used it very badly).

Eek.. I suppose that could fix the issues while still keeping chameleon, but it would require changing every mesh I'd want to switch to. I messed with Nifskope a while back and found that I am unsuited to altering meshes.

Also, MGSO comes with Morrowind Code Patch, which sounds similar to what you mentioned. If it isn't, MCP still uses its own exe, so I don't think I could use it anyway. That said, I can scan my selections for Morrowind Code Patch, and see if anything alters visual effects that I could tweak,

Edit: Nope, there's one that fixes black areas on the paper doll, but thats it.

Oh well, nevermind.

Even after a thorough search of Morrowind Modding History, I still couldn't fin anything. So I opened the editor, and just changed the "Fog Affinity" ability, converting Chameleon: 25% to Sanctuary : 25.

I'm a mage that doesnt wear any armor, so it shouldn't break the game. that glitch is annoying though..No walking around with 100% chameleon on a ring I guess.
