Number keys and Num pad not working

Hello all, this is my first time posting in the help section as usually i am able to find a quick fix there or on discord. However, this time it seems as if im the only one facing this issue. I recently tried to change the number values in the ww settings for several different options but my num keys both on the pad and above the letter keys are inoperable. They work just fine out side of the game 343544 ex.  however once in  game its almost as if it fails to register me pressing them to change values.

It is probably a silly question (sorry) but your num lock key stays ON when you enter game, right? I know some people have reported in the past that num key switches OFF when they start sims 4. 

That problem has been reported as a base game bug. Some suggested solutions are enter and exit options menu, enter and exit build mode, open and close cheats console. 

I personally have no issues using num pad to enter values in game or in wicked whims settings.
