WW - Sims with "DO NOT REMOVE"

Hey all. So I know that Turbo is working on updating WW and I've been playing on an older version just because I've been too lazy to update, but I knew that this latest Sims 4 patch would mean that I would need to update. In anticipation of waiting for an update since this patch is massive, I figured I'd pull WW from my game just so I could play without it. When I do that, about 5 or 6 Sims are spawned with the names "WW DO NOT REMOVE." If I put WW back into my game, then those sims are no longer present, but obviously I'll get error warnings for WW due to the patch.

 

Anyway, I'm just curious if anyone knows why those Sims are spawned when I've removed WW from my mods?  I'm not looking for a fix as I've decided I'll just hold off on playing the game until Turbo does their thing, I just want to try and understand what this is all about. Thanks in advance.
