knoofofmarky Posted March 1, 2023 Posted March 1, 2023 I might be in an unpopular camp, but I love games that make the player character feel more like a physical body that you're controlling. For example, I found that I really enjoyed the "Standard" movement response setting in The Witcher 3, where you trade responsiveness for a more fluid momentum-based kind of control. Geralt doesn't immediately go full speed and takes a moment to accelerate from standing to walking and then to running. When he is running, turns aren't instant and can slow him down depending on how sharp of a turn you're trying to do. Overall it helps give an "analog" feel when playing with keyboard and mouse controls, which I very much enjoy. Here's a short clip to help explain what I mean So I was wondering if there were a mod or a combination of mods that add this kind of movement response, currently I use True Directional Movement, so I was also wondering if the supposed mod would be compatible with that as well. I've seen some LE mods that kind of do what I'm talking about but I don't think they would be compatible or easily convertible to SE. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
traison Posted March 2, 2023 Posted March 2, 2023 Sort of. There used to be this mod. I quite distinctly recall flinging myself off high cliffs by accident with Whirlwind Sprint using that.

Oh yeah I checked that out, unfortunately I don't have LE and doesn't look like it's going to be ported to SE anytime soon. I even saw there was an updated version made by another author in 2020 but they kinda ignored all the requests for an SE port lol.

I checked that one on LE and it did not work all that smoothly, maybe I had too many script heavy mods that interfered with it somehow by lagging it? Idk but it was dreadful. I would look for some "next gen mod lists" clickbait videos and maybe steal some movement mods from those, one of them bound to have more console'y movement.
