taffster74 Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 This has only been happening the last couple of days. I've been through my mods cleared out anything that might even resemble a duplicate, uninstalled WW and reinstalled it several times and it still pops up!!!! This only happened since i've downloaded the Simstaboys household (which i have since deleted). Now, with all of that deleted, my mods file cleaned up and Wicked Whims uninstalled and reinstalled yet again, it's still happening. Anyone got any ideas? Should also mention, that i've also been getting the "personal menu" when i click on a sim - with mods turned on and in a brand new, bulldozed lot. But that might just be game related.
taffster74 Posted February 7, 2023 Author Posted February 7, 2023 Update - have gone right through every folder and have cleaned everything thoroughly. Will try again tomorrow only because i take so damn long creating my sims and then building a house!!!!!! lol will keep updated. 1

That is because The simstaboys download include a copy of the tuning file in wicked whims, a copy of the tuning file in Nisa wicked perversions, default replacements, big merged files with who knows what inside and other stuff that should not be there. That is why you should NEVER install content in your game before you look inside and see what you got. That is the fastest way to nuke your save. Always see if there are sliders, which ones, if they are outdated or compatible with the sliders you already have, or if they are duplicated, look for default replacements, remove any tuning or script files, and ideally unpack any merged packages (and if you cant unpack them my recommendation is that you simply remove them). Then, when you have removed all the crap that should not be there, batch patch everything with sims4studio so you do not get broken or outdated custom content. Not every creator out there cares enough to properly pack a sim before uploading it here, so you always must be careful about what you download. Good luck ? 1
taffster74 Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 Like i said, i completely deleted everything from simstaboys, so hopefully - fingers crossed - all works fine now. 1

There's a couple mods that can help with this: 1. Twisted Mexi's "Better Exceptions," will scout out broken or outdated CC. Sometimes you don't need to delete it, just update it. 2. Sims Mod Assistant - https://modthesims.info/d/647653/sims-mod-assistant.html - There's two search options with it - exact match and conflict. Exact match is safe to use. It will show you if you have two of the exact same CC (like Sonja said, the household you downloaded had some dupe cc) Then you can look at the files and decide which one to move. (Don't delete it right away, just move it out of mods) There's also a search conflict feature - careful with this. Conflict can be dangerous (mods may conflict but both may actually work. Hair may be listed three times, but it's the base version, a modded version, and a recolour that all work and have no reason to be deleted) Don't delete anything in the "Search Conflicts," menu without backing it up first. I suggest making a folder for "Deleted CC" and saving any conflicts into there if you decide to use the conflict feature, A lot of Sims Households you can download - people include garbage CC in it, like 00s.package or their own tuning files from their WW or Basemental, that can mess up your game. Be very careful when downloading pre-made Sims and make sure to look at all of the CC being included.
taffster74 Posted February 9, 2023 Author Posted February 9, 2023 Update - no more duplicate files issue!!!! However, having tested both with and without mods, it would seem that the no personal sim menu (i.e, click on the sim and menu comes up) issue is mods related. The only mods i have are all downloaded from here at loverslab and are as follows - wickedwhims, Nisa's Wicked Perversions, Ayone Sex animations, motherlode sims mods for WW, Superbeat's pornstar mod/CC, Real Time Body Physics, Superbeat12 Supersexual mod, Basemental drugs and gangs, walking bounce mod and Spent's Cumshine extension. The main ones that are on the personal menu (wicked Whims, Wicked Perversions) have been updated recently. Is there any way to find out which one is possibly affecting the menu without having to go through all my mods one by one? Is anyone else experiencing either similar issues or the same issue and can confirm whether this is mod-related or not? I'd ask at the sims website, but due to the ego of certain community managers i have been banned. So, that avenue is shot.

Have done some digging and searching around .... apparently, its related to Nisaswickedperversions. Have downloaded the latest (hot patch) version from january 25 this year, but possibly may need to wait for a complete new update from them.
taffster74 Posted February 10, 2023 Author Posted February 10, 2023 All fixed. Just needed the hot patch version for wicked perversions.
