OStimNG+ORomance prostitute animations broken

TLDR version - whenever I start a prostitute animation in Skyrim by choosing the option in ORomance, it won't work. More details ahead.

 

I'm posting this because perhaps someone else was in a similar situation. I have many mods for Skyrim installed, including ORomance which I believe is the most important here, along with OpenSex and OSA. I also have OAroused which adds the arousal mechanics, so I must lower my char's horniness from time to time. However, the problem starts when I hire the prostitutes through ORomance. They follow MC to the spot, everything seems fine, but when I want to start an animation they just froze idle in front of the MC and then return to normal without doing anything. It seemed to work fine the first time I initiated the sex scene that way, but not anymore. I also tested them by trying to force a scene by pressing the arrow up button - it leads to the same issue. Normal NPCs, however, do not suffer from it. Does anyone know what could cause this problem?
