As we know, there are a lot of smut magazines out there, have been ever since the era Ivy so adores teaching us of. In terms of FO4 lore, that tendency would have carried on domestically just as in our world, but even more intensely in the Cultural Doldrums known as the Pre-War Era. So, a lot like early Playboy with sleazier and more decadent content on the fringes, all mixed with an unhealthy dollop of nationalism and jingo-twanging.

Over at The Vanilla Site, there's a nice utility called Base Object Swapper that allows one to make a list of various items and have the lot randomly (at whatever percentage chance) swap in for some base object. An object like Burnt Magazines... In short, it's time to start figuring out assemblages of magazines for a proper swap! (Not just porn. Lore-friendly Popular Mechanics (Popular Robotics?), LIFE, TIME, and such. And, yes, that means reams of non-lore-friendly covers as well, don't think I am not envisioning the AYB mock Time cover even as I type this!
