fapmcfap
For some odd reason, i get terrible lag in Whiterun on high textures, but nowhere else, i turn off high textures, and poof, no lag. This is the mod i'm running to increase the textures. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/607//? I'm also running HiAlgo, and some other FPS increasing mods. I'm running this on a 62bit Samsung laptop, 4G ram, with Intel graphics chip/card, no idea which. Link to comment
myuhinny
Load order showing what mods you have would help to pinpoint what might be causing it. Off the top of my head it could be caused by any mod that you are using that alters whiterun mod conflicts enb's are ones that I can think of. Link to comment
winny257
hi fapmcfap!you're not the only one who has this Problem!I have a high performance computer and also with me is to feel slight delays. this problem occurs already in skyrim -vanilla (no mods for whiterun).I told you times two sides sought "you would have to make perso" where the same or similar problems have occurred. link : http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19082-freeze-at-whiterun-gates/ http://www.loverslab.com/topic/18371-wtf-whiterun/ german \ deutsch ! du bist nicht der einzige der dieses problem hat !ich habe einen hochleistungs rechner und auch bei mir sind leichte verzögerungen zu spüren . dieses problem tritt schon in skyrim-vanilla ( ohne mods für weißlauf ) auf .ich hab dir mal zwei seiten gesucht " hättest du auch selbs machen können " wo das gleiche oder ähnliche probleme aufgetreten sind . Groovtama
Without proper stuff, that shows the usage of cpu, gpu, ram, vram, papyrus log, temperatur, maybe load order (depends on mods used, no whiterun cells edited, then it's vanilla whiterun) etc. nobody can help you properly, I can give you 5-8 reasons why whiterun starts to lag when you use highres textures. Shortest answer is: it's a high usage area with a lot of tiny, fully packed cells, and your system with 4gb ram and shared memory gpu, gets overloaded. Could be more/other reasons but without usage logs of your system no precise answer^^ Link to comment
fapmcfap
Okay, sorry for the late reply, i have been busy. I've solved my problem after an hour of tinkering. I deleted the Crowded Cities mod, deleted the Whiterun folder in the architecture folder, however these only helped slightly. Another thing that helped were these little fixes i found on the Nexus shortly after. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/33582 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6058//? And incase anyone else is having said problem, it isn't an ENB causing it, i tried uninstalling the ENB i use but that did jack shit. Link to comment
Tensu_Makadi
I can't say for sure since I don't know what graphics setting or mods your using but my guess is your using a laptop with an Intel HD 4000 or 3000 and trying to run high graphics. Laptops can work fine for a gaming computer but the intel cards are weak I can get ultra high settings with mine as long as I stay out of large battles and crowded cities and high even in those cases. My best suggestion is if it is still lagging Post your full mod list and a papyrus log so people who know more about this stuff can help you. Link to comment
