No locations available for sex after updating WW

Hi

 

I hadn't updated WW for a while, probably since August 2021, everything was working just fine then.

Now I updated the game, WW and all other mods. But now when I click 'make a move' the game tells me that I have 14.007 animations installed, that 0 available sex locations are available nearby and that there are 0 sex animations are available for my sims nearby (probably has to do with the locations).

 

I'm in a simple house, with couches, beds and all that... I can set it so that the automy goes on these objects but I can't find an option (or it must be buried very deep) that sets all locations as available for sex for my sims (I don't really like autonomy too much).

 

What can I do? It can't be that I have to activate every single object for sex now do I? I literally changed nothing to my lot...

Here's a picture of the notification I'm getting, this looks like a window WW is sending out, no?

Normally when this happens i've seen it be because you haven't set the Gender/Attraction settings for your sims and the game cant figure out who should woohoo with who.

 

But with that many animations installed you should be able to atleast activate a solo animation. If you click on like the floor, or a couch, can your sim woohoo with themself? If so, then the issue is likely that there are no compatible sims around for your sim to woohoo with and you need to change your preferences in game.

I tried changing the attraction for 2 sims to each other, got the same notification.

Disabled attraction as a whole and also got the notification.

 

Also what concerns me is that if I check sex information I get this debug info

Is active sex instance ready: false
Is pre sex instance ready: false
Is routing sex instance: false

 

I can select objects and then select the sims and let the sims have sex, but not use the 'make a move' interaction, which kind of blocks the whole story telling thing of the game...

Also if I force the sex with the object, it doesn't progress, it only does the animation I select until the sexual stamina is depleted.

 

Also if I enable autonomy again through the sex autonomy switch it still says I disabled 100% of sex animations from being used by sex autonomy. (like in the notification I shared earlier)

So either all animations are blocked, all objects are blocked or my sims are blocked. I'm tinckering around in the settings (and setting them back when it doesn't work) but really can't find the problem... If you have any suggestions please share!

The fact that the sex interaction does not progress make me think that there are other problems.

 

- Have you tried to reset wicked whims settings? That way all should go back to default so at least we know that there is no problem with the settings blocking the action. 

- Also i assume you have wicked whims properly installed, right? Such as no wicked whims duplicates in your mods folder?

- Have you tried with only wicked whims and the animations in your mods folder, and no other mods (after deleting the cache files)? If not, try it. 

- Have you tried with a different household in a different lot?

- Are you playing on your old save from 2021? Have you tried how it works on a new save?

 

I would try and check all those things, it will help to narrow down the problem (or even fix it).

 

If all that dose not help and you do not find the problem after following all those steps you can upload the wickedwhimsinfolog.log file, it should be in your sims 4 folder, that would give us much more information.

i have same problem, today i instal new sims 4 , and wickedwhims, like the new version and sims cant have sex like anywhere exept bed and spanking on couch. Sims cant masturbate exept with porn on computer and canz have sex in shower and anywhere else. I dont know what to do ....?

Also to you thank you very much for the reply! It's late at night here already, so I will look into this tomorrow! Here are the log you asked for and when I was running a climax animation it wxould spam me with the WickedSexToy_1.1.1 error. The last two times this toyerror got my game so stuck that I had to reboot.

EDIT: @babuchas how does one reset ww settings? Is it through a file that you have to delete or in the menu of the game itself? Because only the folders of WW and ww animations were kept but still got the same notification as always about those locations being unvailable.

EDIT EDIT: reset all settings in the settings profile in-game, resulting in me still getting the locations unavailable notification when selecting 'make a move'. I also checked with the dynamic animation disabler and the specific one and in none of those settings there's one or more locations disabled for sex.

Having certain things installed, such as Harki wicked pets, one or more of allthefallen mods, sims4community library and any other mods depending on it etc.. is guaranteed to cause issues. Uninstall all that, clear the cache, and it should work fine.

Thank you for your reply, I did all this, removed all of it and cleared the cache, still getting the notification.

After that I got rid of all mods, except for some sims CC, WW and animations, still getting the notification...

Do you have any "No sex" signs in the lot you are trying? They are not visible in live mod, only build mode, and will prevent autonomous sex interactions. If you are not sure move the sims into a residential vanilla ea lot, with not custom content installed in it, and try again. 

If this is does not work it would be good if you actually try with ONLY wicked whims and the animations installed, and nothing else (that means no cc) except for mc command if you use it. Custom content can cause a lot of issues sometimes, and you have a few files that i do not recognise (for example hhi.package, bb1.package, bb2.package and a few more). If you do not know exactly what those are they could be merged packages containing a lot of problematic stuff. Take the opportunity to delete all your duplicates, you have a few of those and it will help your game run smoother. Then clear again the cache, and try with the same household. If it does not work try a different household in the same save file. If it does not work try a new household on a new save slot. If it does not work upload a new wickedwhimsinfo.log (from new game no mods other than ww, animations and mc command) and any new lastexception if you get any.

Thank you for sticking with me here. I didn't have that much time to fully test but I did quickly start up the game with just my WW map in there. So there can't be any duplicated stuff in there.

I checked the lot and it actually didn't have any lot trait assigned to it, it failed both times (before and after I did assign some).

The packages you did mention I think were most likely Noir and Dark Sims stuff.

Attached the logfile for above described test. Will add more when I find more time to test the different possibilities you mentioned!

Sounds good, do that, just remember to add a few animations to the mods folder when you do test (it seems there were no animations in that last test), otherwise it is going to be difficult to make it work.

That's weird, because the notification I got said that there were like 15 animations but again none of them could be used. I added the Mike24 animations for the next tests though.

So I tried a different household within the same savegame, same result.

I tried a new household (quickly made in CAS) and got the same result, I placed them in a basic ea lot and got the same result, again. I added the log I got with this new game.

 Yes, those 15 are the ones included by default in ww, but it is so few that it might not work just because you do not have animations for a certain object or situation, that is why it is better to have a few more installed for testing.

Did you start a new game in a new game slot? I ask because it seems ww is still loading legacy data from your other saves instead of generating new.

I don't really know what you mean with starting a new game in a new saveslot. Other then using 'save as' instead of 'save'.

As for the settings all the screenshot you shared are exactly the same with me.

As for the settingsprofile I had that deleted at the beginning because I thought that's what you meant with resetting ww?

P.S.: I do remember that when I did reset the settings profile, that I had to actually set all the options again so I wonder where those legacy settings (or the file) is located if there is one

P.S.P.S.: I know it would have been helpful to know what the problem was for troubleshooting purposes but I got impatient and deleted the game then re-installed. Problem is solved now

This might help you.  Go to Sex Interaction Settings > Sex Interface Settings > Sex Content Settings > Select Available Sex Contexts.  They added more types of contexts that are not highlighted.  Highlight and select them.  Some places use them and if not selected I believe they will not let you use those sex locations.  This seemed to help me anyway.  Hope it helps...

I encountered this issue too. I solved it by deleting the WickedWhimsMod folder in the saves folder (The Sims 4 > saves > WickedWhimsMod).  I copied both the settings_profiles and sex_animations_playlists.ww and put them back after I reinitialized the game and everything works as how it was before.
