Archery is still cool, but its MESSED up

I used to love stealth killing with a bow in Oblivion (probably morrowind too, I cant remember), but I was kinda disappointed with the archery system in Skyrim AT FIRST.

After a while I started to get used to the new gameplay mechanics and began to enjoy busting caps/arrows in peoples asses again, but ONE little flaw is making it pretty hard to truly enjoy.

I dont know if anyones noticed, but you will ALWAYS, without fail, shoot JUST above the crosshair. I know gravity comes into play, so aiming is relative unless your point blank. However, if your standing 5 meters away from some1, and your aiming at their head with MAXIMUM tension on the bow-string, your arrow should NOT fly above them and into the wall, completely ruining your ninja stealth buzz.

Meh, it's pretty easy to compensate for. If you wanna shoot someone in the face, aim for their neck. If you wanna hit 'em in the nuts, aim just below their crotch. Etc.

I did not notice this' date=' I'll jhave to keep an eye out on it, I do think though if your trying to fire from a LONG distance you need to aim higher.

correct but only at extreme distances where one has to zoom to get a decent sized target other than that you can usually aim at the neck/head and you'll be good. after you go from creation to 50+ with bows you just start developing a feel for it.

Yeh i think it's for the console players. They want to hit stuff thats in the CROSS-HAIR. So Bethesda made so that making the arrow go up a little so it will let you not have to aim above the person.

Yea true what your saying, its easy to get around it, and you just get used to it. I probably wont even bother getting a mod for it because I've started to get the feel for it as it is.

Renax, yea maybe your right man. Its funny, I'm actually using my 360 controller to play Skyrim (because the pad actually works properly, unlike in oblivion), because it allows me to move with analogue speed (rather than 2-speed). It makes aiming loads harder, but I love having a pad in my hands. I love KB+mouse too, but sometimes I prefer the simplicity and....comfort(?) of a joypad lol!

Edit: Yea by all means, smoke weed everydayeveryday. I had a smoke for the first time in about a month just after I escaped the first part of Skyrim, and I was SO LEAN that I didn't know what the hell was going on, but it looked great. I remember sitting at the table at that guys uncles house, forgetting everything he was saying, and trying so hard to remember... budha lol. Can defo be an immersion enhancer, if you smoke responsibly HAHAHA.
