Glowing workbench???

Hi,

 

I shot the workbench in Whiterun with a soultrap bow and now it glows purple and the glow will not go away - I tried waiting for 30 days in the testing hall (qasmoke) and also disabling and re-enabling the workbench aswell.  Nothing will stop it from glowing, even tried shooting it again.

 

Also they must all be linked cos every workbench now glows purple.......its quite odd.

 

Does anyone know of anything I can try to fix it or do i have to bite the bullet and lose hours and hours of gameplay by reverting to a previous save??

 

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

Seems to be a somewhat common problem with weapon enchants, it's mentioned both on UESP.net, Reddit and the elderscrolls wiki.

Some think it's a problem with how the game handles actors and containers, Soul trap affects containers, which includes NPCs (as it should) but also barrels, chests, workbenches, etc. 

 

Don't think there's a fix for it. I can only suggest going into the construction set, duplicating the Workbench object and then replacing all the workbenches you use/visit frequently. That might work.

Using the construction kit to delete the one in Whiterun (the one I fucked) then adding it back has fixed all workbenches through the entire game! They must all be linked?

 

Worked like a godamn charm!
