Broken Quest Info

I was sure this topic had come up before, but having searched both for "quest" and "refugee" I didn't see anything. Anyway, all it's showing is a bunch of unfilled placeholders in the info that comes up on new quests, which makes it impossible to figure out what I'm supposed to do or go, since the info isn't filed in.  Does anyone know if there's a mod that's causing this?
Example:

ERR: A [joiner_age]-year-old [joiner_title] named [joiner_nameDef] is calling from nearby. [Joiner_pronoun] is being chased by [enemyFaction_pawnsPlural] from [enemyFaction_name]!
 

[Joiner_pronoun] begs for safety and offers to join you at [map_definite].[Joiner_relationInfo]
 

If you accept, you'll have to fight off the [enemyFaction_pawnsPluralDef] on [joiner_possessive] tail. The group of [enemyFaction_pawnsPlural] is composed of:
 

[Raid/raidPawnKinds]
 

[Joiner_nameDef] is too frantic to offer more information.
 

 

(I also should add that it doesn't show where on the map, in many cases.)
