Mermaids still have legs but fused with tail and if mail has their gentiles showing?

So I am a bit new to modding sims 4, I started to find mods like wickedwhims unfortunately I am encountering an issue where for some reason mermaids lower halves in human form don't go away instead is still there on top of the mermaids tail. the legs and gentiles share the textures of the tail and other mermaid themed skin details. With the wickedwhims mod and Simplgens simplegens mod everything was fine.  This started happening two days ago and I lost a bit of sleep trying to figure out what is causing it. is there a known mistake someone could point out or could possibly tell me how I can find the culprit.

Have you found a way to fix this issue yet or found someone that helped with it? Becuase i've been experiencing it too and i genuinely have no idea what to do with it TwT

IT has something to do with the clothes, when you are messing with the clothes un check the linking of clothes for both forms, and if you already did that re link the forms and then take of your sims clothes unlink the clothes and then dress your human form and mermaid form how ever you want. Hope I explained it well enough
