Conan Exiles Mods?

Does Conan Exiles have a decent amount of sexy mods? I've seen a few on nexus but there's not much out there, and they're pretty buggy. Kinda disappointing. 

 

I also haven't done a lot of looking on my own, by the way. Just curious.

Steam workshop has a mod, beyond theatrics that have animations. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

The nexus is probably the worst place to look for Conan Exiles mods. The steam workshop has many more mods available, and the mods there seem to be updated more often.

 

The best way to get started would probably be to just look at what is popular over at the steam workshop or search for what you're interested in. There are mods that expand the character creator in several ways, there are body mods, armor/outfit mods and much more.

Devious Desires is pretty good as a pose mod, but it doesn't really introduce sex as natural component into the game. In Skyrim or other games that had something like this done, the actual sex mods made it very natural to just call characters to scenes, which would then progress, speed up, and end in climax. If done with spells, you didn't even have to pull up a menu to use it, though to get a specific position, it was better to do that.

Devious Desires does some very impressive things, like having independently animated dicks with all variable sizes, or making it possible to control facial expression and some body parts separate from the main body animation. You can get some very detailed scene setup this way, but the actual animations are just ...monotonous. There is no progression, no pose change without going through an immersion breaking very tedious menu structure, and it overall feels very lifeless.

Again, good to hold a camera onto for shots or gifs. A top tier pose mod, but only very mediocre at introducing sex into Conan.

 

I really wish there was something better, where it would just flow. Want some, get some. I almost always end up looking at the thralls and just think 'nah, too tedious', and don't use the mod. It is more work than show in current implementation.

As far as I know DD is really the only up-to-date option for sex animations. And it has a lot of neat features like the penises and the bondage gear. But I agree that it isn't all very immersive. I'm sure the ERP crowd loves it, but I'm more of a player on NPC kinda person.

 

Would be great if DD was more like a framework, and then other people could build mods that gave us more immersive ways of starting the animations, as well as integrating it all more into the general gameplay of Conan. I'm thinking sex rituals to gain buffs and favors with the gods (think I saw an old mod that tried to do this), prostitutes in Sepermeru, the ability to prostitute yourself to friendly NPC's to get coins or even discounts with trader NPC's. Buff thralls by sleeping with them. Perhaps even defeat scenarios instead of dying if fighting NPC's.

 

I know it is all really far fetched and is probably never going to happen, but it is nice to imagine what could have been.

 

Conan Exiles is one of my favorite games, and it really does have a lot of potential for sex mods. I do think features like the ones I've mentioned are technically possible with the modding tools, but I don't think anyone has tried to make that kind of framework. So far it has mostly just been various modders trying to do their own separate things and most of them are no longer actively developing anything. If more of them came together and collaborated then maybe we'd have a framework or something by now.

As you said, the technical potential of Conan seems to be rather large. I was very surprised about the independent body part animation, or the possibility to just 'stick other body parts on' as accessory.

On other fronts there are mods scripting a system where thralls actually go out and gather resources for you, which is a huge addon for the game.

 

So although the developers comment that the code work was often kind of shody, it seems nonetheless that everything is very approachable.

Also, graphically, and physics wise, I mean, it doesn't stand back behind old Skyrim in any way, that is for sure. I mean, open climb, hello? What a revelation! Many games these days don't even let you jump anymore. Much more stable than Skyrim or others too.

 

*Sigh*, in the end, perhaps the competent modders need to be crowdfunded or otherwise sponsored to take this on. Either that, or more advertisement needs to be done, so that the higher ground level of players gives rise the critical number of modders for this to emerge.

Perhaps some streamers or the like could be convinced to play it. It is quite the adventure, I mean, I knew about it for long, but only picked it up like 5 weeks ago after only once trying it years ago. I absolutely love it, despite its age, so why wouldn't other people. Adventuring, gathering and building in a perfect balance. So much to discover and to do, but very relaxing to dive into, and all in a superior pretty setting world. More need to know.
