Turn a Hat CC into Hair CC

I have a really nice Ahsoka Lekku mod that is sadly set as a hat object instead of her hair. So when Ahsoka goes to shower or anything with WW content, like stripping fully for exhibitionist option, it removes her Lekku sadly. I downloaded S4S to try and change the category to hair, but when I do this while I can now select the Lekku as a hair option, it's invisible. Is there any where to change it to hair without it vanishing? Would really love for her to keep her Lekku on, it's always a weird site when it vanishes from her head.

Side note, is there a way to just set it so that head items like hats aren't removed.

Sadly this did not work either, still invisible.

Edit: I took a look and it is not so easy as I thought, you will have to take out the mesh and make a hair, look into ts4 studio for tutorials

Ok, unfortunately I'm on call 24/7 and gotta head out of town right now. Once I'm back ill give this method a shot. I appreciate you takin the time to check it out.
