katrina.balanchuk Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) Actually i had for for a long while. since maybe late september. When i added more and more looksmenu presents in september many of them had requirements with extra hair color packs, so i added quite a few additional hair colors since it was listed in requirements for the presets. But suddenly approx 40- 50% of all NPCs had white hair, or near white hair, see attached so hair colors so something clearly got corrupted or some color mods simply dont play nice with each other. It didnt bug me too bad for a while as could always control my main characters hair in looks menu easily, as many haircolors still worked properly. And when it happend i had just gotten everything else to work properly with the sexy mods and did not want to make any changes that could affect my load order. But for Npcs the program just pulls colors from the list regardless what it really looks like and as a result approx 35%-nearly 50% of NPCs have white or off-white hair colors. Very immersion braking IMHO, i mean a occasional platinum blonde is plausible in the wasteland, but 40% of all to even include the menfolk? I do not think any of the male NPCs are supposed to have bleached hair look. Tonite i finally tried disabling one hair color addition pack after another and then starting a brand new game (not a new install mind u) to see if Nate that shows up first during character creation still has that white hair. this was my original give away that something was amiss with the colors. ..started new game from desktop and still every time Nate starts with white hair even though in looks menu its listed as "warm black", or some such, yet its white as are many other blacks and browns. These are the hair mods i have and here are some screenshots with women and nate in one of them in background during creation screen. (nice lush haircolor on my female character which i can no longer find among the hundreds of haircolors available in looksmenu most of which are unnatural rubbish colors).: (i do have a pristine copy of the game on another harddrive but do not know which are my hair files there, otherwise i would overwrite with stock as i had always been happy with the vanilla selection, only added those extra colors for the extra presets) WX Hair Colors at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) Vivid Hair Color Extended at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) Newsea's Sunshine hairstyle at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) HAIR MOD - Blonde hair with Dark eyebrows at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) And this was my main suspect but i disabled it and deployed and no chnage: 512 Standalone Hair Colors (1 ESP) at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com) And piper is always messed up now with hair AND skin as u can see in one of the pics (though i know how to replace her with one of my presets so its not a big deal and i rarely do anything with her at all, i just use her as an example of bad hair on NPCs) Edited December 26, 2022 by katrina.balanchuk
slight_of_mind Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Are you using a mod to give separate eyebrow color from the hair, like Cirilla has in Witcher series?

I disabled this mod and it did the trick! Thanks!!!! The description of the mod was never about changing haircolors just allowing different colors form eyebrow to main hair and it never said it would turn many hairs white that re labeled otherwise. Thanks again this was annoying over time 1
