re: Added 'Eternally Faithful Wicked Attribute (trait) - WW v174a

" Something for married couples! The Eternally Faithful Wicked Attribute can only be applied to married Sims, which are then only capable of romancing with their True Love."

My Sims have this Trait and are "not married or were married"

I am unable to locate this Trait under Wicked/Personalization/Wicked Attributes/Take Away - but UNABLE to ADD because it is already a current Trait for that Sim.

I have verified that NPC Sims also have this Trait, not just the Sims I created.

Any ideas?

I can add: "Eternally Faithful" will turn on when giving polyamory or adultery attributes, which essentially contradicts and overrides those options - preventing both. Once on, the only way to turn it off is to turn off adultery and / or polyamory. It basically makes it so that you can only romance unmarried npc's or sims the player character is already married to. In effect, it has made adultery and polyamory moot.

Yeah I just created a sim and this was already checked and I can't uncheck it. Right out of the gate it's automatically selected. I even flirted and used MCCC to max relationships out and kissed more than 2 sims but it won't go away. I'm going to go back to an old WW mod until this bug (I think it is) is fixed.

I hate this because its basically restricting the characters you created and the story you want to tell and create. Why is their idea of what married Sims couples should or shouldn't do be applied to everyones?

Because that is the whole point of marriage...

It is extremely logical that Eternally Faithful is standard because that is what you vow when you marry...

If you want to cheat or whatever, then you have to change it.

Simple as that.

Then why allow an Adulterer and Polyanorous option? With Eternally Faithful automatically turned on, even for unmarried sims, then you can't simply "change it."

Because after you marry in real life you have to option to eventually cheat (Adulterer) or if one or both partners agree to an open marriage because their sex life is boring after years or whatever other reason they might choose to allow their husband/wife to have another relationship (Polyamorous).
So you can change your sims story and simply remove Eternally Faithful and optionally add Adulterer/Polyamorous which is equal to real life vowing to be faithful during marriage ceremony but then still decide to cheat after.

It's pretty common logical, unless you are at an age where you simply do not understand these kinds of concepts.

Should this be the case, then playing this mod is not advisable in the first place.

@PG076 Before you belittle people about their understanding of mature concepts maybe you could learn to read a post.

There is no option to turn off the Eternally Faithful attribute. Even when you turn on Polyamory, Adultry, or even Cuckolding the Eternally Faithfull attribute stays and causes jealousy, anger, etc in their partner sims.

I didn't belittle anyone.
I am simply explaining IRL marriage, since the person clearly has no real understanding of it.

Which is ok since we are all born knowing absolutely nothing and gain knowledge by learning from others.
Your perception skills have serious issues and will make you see more negative than positive.
Plus, it can be turned off...

Unfortunately, my original post seems to be getting a bit derailed and since I am not aware of the ability to "close" my post (as answered etc) I decided to interject.

It is my hope that possibly you can provide the solution to my question?

Can you provide the method to accomplish this? I have not found a way to "turn this off" yet.

my previous post: <edited for clarification, hopefully ? >

My Sims have this Trait and are "not married or were previously married."

I am unable to locate this Trait under Wicked/Personalization/Wicked Attributes/Take Away - but UNABLE to ADD because it is already a current Trait for that Sim.

I have verified that I have found NPC Sims that also have this Trait, not just the Sims I created.

Until this point, I have always been able to select/deselect, add/remove Wicked Attributes, but in this recent case, "Eternally Faithful" is not listed when I view Wicked Attributes>Take Away. I have also tried to ADD Adulterer & Polyamorous Attributes and then go back to Wicked Attributes>Take Away to see if that changed anything, sadly no. Eternal Faithful is still not listed. Basically, just trying various things to see if it helps/changes anything.

Perhaps it is some odd glitch or whatever, I just downloaded the newest version of WW posted today. I will check the notes and see if that resolves what I am experiencing.

~Thanks for everyone's time, I appreciate it. If most are not experiencing this issue or unaware of a solution, there is no need to reply and/or continue this thread. I will just ignore this Trait. Thanks Again!!

Try installing MCCC to be able to remove the trait.
It should be in the list of enabled traits.
If it is not then it is not enabled.
If it shows gray in the wicked attributes list it doesn't necessarily mean it is activated especially if it is not in the active trait list.

It means that it can't be enabled due to some conflicting treat like "Player", "Noncommittal" or similar traits.

yeah I'm getting the same problem. I want my happily married couple to also be swingers and Eternally Faithful trait prevents this . Does MCCC let us override/remove it?

Do you mean that it got "automatically" applied to your sims and you cannot get rid of it? Because that should not happen unless you used the "assign random wicked traits to all sims" option for some reason, and even then you should be able to remove it the normal way. How do you know the sims has the trait, is is listed in the sims info? Like the NPC i am showing in the picture, i just gave him a lot of wicked traits and they are listed in sim info (yes, its john shaft). If it is not there, the sim does not have the trait, no matter what you think.

I gave another NPC that is married the eternally faithful trait, and it is listed now in sim info (see picture below). When i choose the option to "remove wicked traits" the eternally faithful trait is available to remove, because the sim have it. If it is not there, then the sim does no have it. Then when i choose to remove it the trait is gone (see the picture again).

No problem, that is the intended behavior, and that is how it works. If it does not work like that for you then you are doing something very wrong or are misunderstanding how the trait works, or have some other mod or custom content that is screwing with wicked whims.
