Assigning Top and Bottom (M/M Specifically)

Hello!  I just started using Wicked Whims recently and I really love how unique it can make relationships when you're doing hardcore role playing like I do in this game.  However, I am having one major issue (for me).

One of my main couples is a gay couple with very strict top/dom and bottom/sub roles and I can't seem to find a way to get them to always be assigned to the right position.  Right now it seems a chance of luck.  I've gone over several settings and checked the page on advanced settings, but I am having trouble understanding.  For clarities sake, as I go over what I've tried, Sal is the top and Leon is the bottom.

I've gone into the individual preferences by clicking on the sim and going to the personalization tab.  There I have assigned Leon to female and bottom and Sal to male and top.  I've gone into the settings menu,

Sex Settings, Sex Interaction Settings, Advanced Sex Interaction Settings, and then turned the adaptive roles reassignments on and off with no change.

Sex Settings, Gender Settings, Gender Recognition is on gender identity base.  "Both" Gender is set to recognize both as male.

The animation I've been testing on is M/M and their roles as top and bottom are what is being switched.  I haven't gone in to test on animations that are M/F yet, figure I'll get to that once I've figured this part out.

It's possible for the M/M animations the roles are not set. Maybe try other strictly M/M animations?

I think your issue may also be "Set male as both"

I haven't had any issues with my settings:

Set Sal to Male/Top

Leon to Both/Bottom

Set Gender to "Female as Both"

For me I set gender to "anything goes" but your CAS option could work if you set their gender pronouns in CAS

M/F animations work without any issue - I haven't tried all the M/M ones but the ones I have tried everyone behaved properly.
