Codsworth suddenly sounds so sad when he is talking to me ?

 

but we had a great relationship before, I uhm, well, upgraded him.

 

I added a gatling laser into one spot and a sniper laser into another so he would be more worth taking with me.

As soon as I talk to him after that he sounds so sad but he still obeys.

how/why would the affinity/respect be damaged by that? if that is what it was (I just finished Mechanist quest and let the mechanist alive)

 

Is it possible to give him back his Mr handy extra eyes into those slots and have him be ok again?

Or is every time I put him on the robot workbench a significant reduction in affinity?

Update: It took Codsworth about 10 good deeds witnessed and commented on, to be back to his old self.

not sure what set him off origianlly.

Maybe he does hate it when I put him on the robo bench and change him..

 

Looked up all the things he dislikes/hates, had done none of those

Perhaps. but the affinity system is vanilla is it not?

Also I wonder... maybe Codsworth got upset when he observed me having sex?

Maybe it offends him because he is loyal to my spouse?

 

Thats the only thing "I" did between us being "good" and him becoming sad (until I did many things he liked and/or loved.

But how would FO4 have anything about that?

these things are mods so there couldn't be something written in there.

 

But FO4 has surprised me before doing logical things in response to a mod
