Some ideas... it would be nice if I could give my power armors to a faction such as the Minutemen and........

And they would actually use them on thier patrol or guard duties.

I realize the commonwealth is big and the chance of ever seeing those power armors again slim but it could happen i run into a patrol and one of them are wearing the PA I gave the MM.

Could be a spot in The Castle where I drop them off.

 

Also as a result of a reliable supply of PAs the prestige and abilities of this faction would grow...

I dont want one of those extreme mods where "Presto!" the minutemen are suddenly a BOS equivalent in early game..

But something that grow's slowly because of the player would be immersive

 

I would like to go up to BOS leadership at some point and say

" I am the Commander of the Minutemen. We are the sole legitimate paramilitary police force of the Commonwealth.We are grateful for the assistance the BOS has rendered us in fighting supermutants raiders and various monsters.

 

But I am asking you to cease all technology plundering operations in the Commonwealth. These artifacts belong to the people here and no one else.

This is not optional

And when I was saying "asking  you", I was being polite.

 

I am telling you: cease all plundering operations or hostilities will being in 24 hours.

This is the time I give you to pull back your teams.

Any BOS teams found in evidence plundering our commonwealth after 24 hours, will be shot on sight.

 

I know the BOS is a strong military organization and your teams can well defend themsleves.

But your teams are small.

Not everyone has power amor...

They are not ready to face well laid ambushes..

 

Also know this the Minutemen too have Power armor. maybe not all our folks wear them but quite a few do.

And we have miniguns, missile launchers 

We also have vertibirds. Maybe not as many as you do, but a Sufficiency for priority missions.

 

And also know these we have more men than you do.

A great man more. Our patrols are all over the commonwealth.

And these are hard men, used to fighting raiders, gunners, supermutants and monsters without the benefit of miniguns and power armor.

These are not men you make enemies of lightly...

 

And our flag flies in scores of settlements and bases here,... whereas you would have to bring the war to us from wherever how far away your home bases are.

 

I realize you are not used to being spoken to like this but, short of the Enclave, you have never met a large organized and trained force like us before either.

We are not "civilians", I am a former member of the actual US Army. it is you who is the civilian here.

So do the right thing Elder, you will cease all plundering and any BOS teams operating in the commonwealth on legitimate business' need to check in with Minuteman HQ at least 2 days prior and submit an itinerary to our staff. This so we can coordinate with our local troops to let them know to hold fire.

 

You do not want to start a war with us but this is exactly what you are doing with you do not need my warning.

 

If the BOS behaves itself, it is otherwise welcome to shelter, live and trade among the people of the commonwealth and freely traverse our territory to support its other operations.

Minutemen doctors will be happy to treat any BOS personnel that present themselves at our bases.

 

But for this you need to listen

 

And it was a minuteman strikeforce that destroyed the Institute not the BOS.

Never forget that."

And then the BOS could either ignore and start a war or compromise... if the SS is high level ( say 60+) has good charisma, controls 20 settlements or more with a total defense number of say 2000 or more,  wears t60 Power armor or above and is accompanied by another MM wearing T60 or above then then if all those conditions are met the BOS would compromise or leave the Commonwealth.
