So, I'm having an absolutely bizarre issue, where the meshes of some headgear (and other items in that general area like some TAWOBA gorgets) (greybeard hood used in pics for example) is fully visible when viewed at a moderate distance, but becomes invisible when viewed up close, and not in an "it was unequipped" way, in a "it turned invisible and whatever zaps are involved in it are still applied" way. I've been trying to disable stuff and work out the issue, but I can't find it, even after disabling almost everything for testing. Here's an example of the issue with the greybeard hood, the only change between the two pictures is me zooming the third person camera in. My closest speculation as to the issue is there's some sort of glitch in bodyslide's generation, because (in this case) the only thing messing with the greybeard hood is BD's 3BA armor replacer, and if it's disabled the hood has no issues, and while that would imply that's the issue, if I have BD's active but have by bodyslide outputs disabled (I use MO2 and shunt the bodyslide outputs into their own mod) the hood also works perfectly, with the BD mesh (just with zeroed sliders and no morphs). So I imagine the issue is bodyslide related, but have no clue whatsoever why it's an issue now when it's never been, or how to fix it. There seems to be a few of these in BSTriShapes for instance: Bounding Sphere and Collision Object. All just speculation obviously but that's the first thing I'd stab trying to fix this. Upload the affected mesh maybe? That is, the bodyslide generated one, the one that is confirmed to disappear ingame. I honestly don't know how to look into the bounding sphere and collision object stuff, do you know of a guide that explains it? greybeardhatf_0.nif greybeardhatf_1.nif greybeardhatf.tri

It's not a bodyslide issue I'd say. But if you want to test this, simply copy the unbodyslided mesh from bodyslide's folders to the greybeardrobe folder twice and rename them *_0.nif and *_1.nif. If the problem is still there, it's not BodySlide. As for the fix: Find the unbodyslided hood mesh and open it in NifSkope. Browse to BSTriSHape "Hat" -> BSDismemberSkinInstance -> NiSkinData Set the Skin Transform to 0,0,-120. Click on Bone List to preview the grey spheres in the mesh preview window, make sure they overlap the hood mesh itself. Save Build the meshes again in BodySlide. Edit: If this does not work, I should mention that I also added bit 19 "No Anim Sync" to the BSTriShape's Flags property, because that was another discrepancy. Edited November 19, 2022 by traison

I certainly would have never figured that out myself, especially given there were no comments about an issue like this on the mod's page. I guess most people don't bother using greybeard armor (or giving it to female npcs)
