Wishes/whims disappeared since "High School Years" update

Hey all, so I've been struggling with this for a while, and have investigated for myself with no luck. I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar problem and found a solution?

 

Since the "High School Years" update came out, my Sims wishes/whims have disappeared both in current and new games. I think the issue might be one of my trait or aspiration mods. Any tips on how to narrow down the problem, or potential solutions?

"Are you ready to tackle your Sim’s Wants & Fears? This base game update replaces whims and includes a large selection of Wants that your Sims will want to achieve or Fears they want to overcome. This feature is on by default and you can toggle them off in the “Gameplay” options menu."

Also, try checking Gameplay > Show Wants & Fears is ✔️ticked.

If this doesn't help, then you have to 50/50 it to find the culprit.
