Script SNAFU when using any SexLab esp

Recommended Posts

I recently reinstalled SexLab and the ESM works fine, but any esp I install, like Romance or Lovers Comfort, will cause a script meltdown. At least, I think it's the scripts. When I load a save, depending on where the character was, they are transported to the Sleeping Giant inn, where their hair is missing along with any armor and then there are all sorts of noises and flashing on the screen.

I've updated everything I can think of. I know this didn't happen to me when I first installed SexLab but that was months ago.

A while ago I had the same problem with a different mod but I can't remember how I fixed it.

You could try enabling the papyrus log and see if that gives you an idea what's going on.

My knowledge of scripting is limited at best, I'm not sure how to do such or if I would be able to decipher a meaning in it. Unless of course the log states "error: you didn't install [solution], you numbskull".

I have found that I can't seem to get wearable lanterns appearing in the game as well, but activating the esp for lanterns does not screw everything up. I'm going to try and clean my data folder of all sexlab related files and try to run the old version that I used earlier this year, v4 I believe it was called.

EDIT:

Ok, so I found that wearable lanterns was not enabled, so I enabled it after completely removing all sexlab files and installing Rev4 and the lover's comfort that came out for it around the same time. Now I'm getting the same craziness when I enable wearable lanterns (same with comfort as well, so my plan didn't work, which means it is something outside of sexlab... probably).

I found out how to run the log, and it seems that when I activate lanterns, I get a whole bunch of Property errors.

Also, a common and strange issue is that when I activate either of the esps and then load a save, I get the missing-content-related-to-the-save dialogue but I do not get that box when either of the esps are not loaded. So there is that.

EDIT 2:

Upon loading a log into TES5Edit, it is showing that a lot of errors are coming from Skyrim.esm and from the save I loaded (I think, it just gives me a form id number). I'm not sure if that means anything.
