Richter Zorg Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 First off, I am not a mod author and my understanding of how all of the many factors of how mods actually accomplish changes is very basic. I am very unskilled and horrible at file management and locating files since windows XP went the way of the dinosaur, and cloud file systems were put into win 7- thru today.... but, aside from my lack of skills I can generally get my game to function with mods, and enjoy the work the modders did to make Skyrim SE re-playable. I only downloaded Creation Kit once a couple years back, but I was immediately overwhelmed by trying to look at mods as they were made by the author, and how the changes were made and where... so many slots to choose and sub-windows to navigate... and file folders my nemesis... yikes! I use Flower Girls SE & VR and I've tried to use Amorous Adventures also, because there's a few more quests, but in FG's in the MCM menu it asks/shows AA installed? Yes, OSEX installed NO etc., but when I have FG and AA installed. together I get duplicate dialogue prompts and quests which clutter up the dialogue window, which results in me either having to repeat the same dialogue prompts twice and restarting the quests twice all through the individual quests, and in some cases it stops progression in the quests because the requirement objective is no longer there from the first completion. The next issue arises from Sexlab Aroused, which stifles my skill gain ability due to my char being sexually frustrated, but there's no ability to relieve that state because Sexlab Aroused doesn't recognize acts in FG's as an accomplishment. Then with various other mods where Sexlab Aroused is a requirement, half of the time there's no recognition of the characters having sex to satisfy the mods demand for Sexlab Aroused (Sex Slaves - Mia's Castle, Spoils of War, Damsels In Distress) there isn't any compatibility or symbiosis, I thought there might be patches to remedy this but I haven't had much luck finding any solution. I know it's up to the mod authors to patch or not patch their mods to work with others, or a completely different author to solve the problem, but has anyone else found a workaround? Then, with AA's the general clunkiness of the animations starting is just off-putting to be kind. I like FG's refined approach, but the repetitive use of the same animations gets old, and there are quite a few animations from that pack that aren't primitive or downright atrocious, that aren't ever tapped or put into rotation, is there a way to add more animations without having the CK? I still can't figure out how to get Sexlab to function as a standalone mod, I press N and it shows actors arousal level or my own level, but where do I get access to a selection menu like in Fallout 4's AFF? Does one exist and can I iniate sex with another actor without using FG's dialogue? I know many authors have moved on or quit modding altogether, and their mods are just left in limbo (like xziderpunk doesn't hardly ever get on anymore) and I've even seen some mods here where the author is saying hey I'm quitting anyone else want to take this up? But there has got to be someone else out there who has the skill to fix or patch these mods so they will all play nice with each other, wouldn't you agree? I would but as I stated above, I'm a monkey in this area and I'd break things more than fix them. I know I'm probably going to get a lot of angry people saying I should read more descriptions and do my own research, and I generally do do my own research on Nexus, but here it's intolerable to use their "Search" and the mod descriptions here are also abysmally lacking. I downloaded a mod from here yesterday, I read everything the author wrote on his mod page, I ran LOOT like I always do when I add a mod to my load order and I get an error telling me that the mod I just downloaded and installed needs another mod to function.... nowhere on the mod page was this even mentioned, then when I tried searching here for the missing mod LOOT recommended.. ZERO... waste of time , deleted mod, and moved on. So, please before you chastise me for reading the mod page and installing the necessary requirements, I do read, I even look at posts and bug lists (on Nexus) to make sure I'm aware of potential issues and solving them. I'm just no good at file swapping and locating the files in the MO2 or Windows folders because I have no idea where some of these files were placed sometimes. I can't even figure out what folder I need to put Pre-sets into to get them to show up in the char creation on a new game.. the mod says let your MO2 or Vortex do the job, but they never show up when I search the presets... If I had any money I'd hire someone to come here and do all the file work just to make everything jelly even better... some day... some day....
