yeah the longer I tested the more clipping issues i found, I did make some fixes but nothing worth releasing tbh. Ive put down persona for a bit but ill post any more work i do here if i get round to it.

Briefly I wanna go over the errors I had for future reference.

 

Why is my file size so huge? (Models)

- This is due to something odd when editing textures in blender. Open the image in another program and save it as a png, then import the new texture back in with GFDStudio.

 

Why are my portraits the wrong color?

- This is due to the differences in formats I used when editing the textures. I use two programs when editing portraits, paint.net (not a website) and GIMP. paint.net is an intermediate step between the original files since GIMP won’t recognize them at first. So I put them in paint.net, save them as an RGBA8 .dds, and import them into GIMP. GIMP throws an error saying “Unexpected pixel format, taking a guess!”. After I’m done editing I’ll export it from GIMP and put it straight back into the portrait file. However, some files, such as the mouth files, are extremely tedious to redo. So, I’d use paint.net to copy and paste the nude version onto each expression. These are the images which threw errors. Turns out, GIMP’s guess at a format is a lot better than paint.net. I fixed this by simply importing the broken images into GIMP and re-exporting them. That worked every time.

I want to ask something, I know you aren't like support of Aemulus or something lol but since you play in Switch, I wanna know, how is your Aemulus config? I did everything the README said and it didn't work ☠️ Although I was able to install the Ann mod using another tool so I'm able to install the mods, just wanna know how you make Aemulus work

You need to have a romfs dump of your game. It’s pretty unclear, I struggled for a while myself.

 

If you play on a switch emulator, you can use Yuzu to dump it. Right click and select “Dump RomFS”. After a while, you’ll have something along the lines of “All_Users.CPK” or something, can’t remember the exact file name. Move this to somewhere you’ll remember (such as Downloads) Dump the update as well, called “PATCH1.CPK”, and place it in the same spot.

 

If you play on a modded switch, you can dump these files using this tool here. Launch this using the homebrew launcher, find P5R, and go to (I think) “nca options”, then presss A on “Dump nca fs”. Do this for both the base game and update, and you’ll get the same two files. Copy or move this to somewhere on your computer you’ll remember.

 

In Aemulus, go to P5R (Switch) at the top left. Click “settings”, and then “Unpack Base Files”, then select one of the two files we dumped. This can take a while, so just wait until it’s done. Repeat for the other file.

 

Now you can click “Build” (hammer)  and it’ll work, as long as you set an output directory in the settings.

 

I think that covers it. My friend also struggled with this for PQ2 mods, so don’t sweat.

I’m just gonna throw an idea out there, which I can understand could be a lot of work if the costumes don’t natively belong to Royal and had to be modeled from scratch based on a 2D reference, but I’d be down to see a mod of the Phantom Thieves in their wedding clothes from Tactica.

this is just v1, so i haven't touched stuff like hawaii or vday yet. not a romance route like bi joker mod either, just confidant edits. if you don't want both akechi n ryuji you can delete the one you don't like, but. all post-rankup phone calls are in the same bmd and so are jazz club chats. guide.txt has more info. full animation for sex scenes looked janky as hell so its all fade to black. w evt editing some stuff breaks no matter what too. autoplay skips some text boxes too fast. lmk if anything big breaks, could only test on my machine.

Wow. Thanks for doing this man, I particularly appreciate getting Sojiro so he doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb. At this point, I’m having a hard time thinking who’s still missing a nude mod at this point other than Igor. Probably Kaneshiro and Kobayakawa, but at this point, it’s just checking off boxes. We’re pretty much closer than ever before to an all nude Persona 5 experience.
